Capital punishment is a cruel and violent process that is extremely expensive to many taxpayers, discriminating against one 's race and well being in justifying cases, and overall has a negative effect on society. A black male who was accused for murder was wrongfully charged of the crime due to ethnicity was violently killed, costing the state taxpayers excessive amounts of money for one case, cruelly punishing a man who was not in the wrong, going against humans right to life. One can see why Capital punishment should be abolished in all states.
The Death penalty being a very expensive process that is unnecessary and easily substituted, is still used in today 's society, rather than life in prison. The Death Penalty is more expensive than life in prison due to the long capital cases to make sure an innocent man is not found guilty and put to death (“10 reasons“).
