Superheroes have been around in the world since as long as we can remember and have become popular day by day, and year by year. The concept of superheroes saving mankind from evil or any other threat has appealed to an extensive amount of the population, especially after what has happened during 9/11. This is because people suddenly wanted escapism into a different world where the hero always triumphed and where distinctions between good and bad were easy to recognize. The public liked to see the fact that there is a savior out there, a hero who can defend the city and keep it from any form of trouble or threat. Even though this can’t be enforced in realty, the fact that there is a hero out there whose duty is to protect the city has performed as a comforter for many people and has made them feel more secure in today's world. Today, modernized special
Veterans are honored yearly with Veterans Day and every day in our hearts. We are very thankful for everything that they do for us and our country. Our veterans go out and risk their lives to give us freedom, they leave their families behind, and they come home with diseases that are horrible. All for our freedom. We are very grateful for all that the veterans do each and every day.
Everyone might be choosing sides when it comes to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but Captain America: Civil War star Paul Rudd has other things in mind. The Ant-Man actor was recently a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where he admitted he was thrilled to have been able to hold Captain America’s shield for a few minutes!
The film Big Hero 6, is an animated superhero-comedy movie produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The movie is about Hiro, a 14 year old boy who makes an incredible invention called microbots to try to achieve his dream of enrolling into the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. The microbots are tiny robots that are linked together through anyway, through a neuro transmitter. However, trouble strikes as someone steals them, but Hiro and his deceased brother’s medical assistant robot Betamax save the day along with the other four heroes who were his brother’s friends at the institute as they capture the villain. Overall, Big Hero 6 was a very intriguing and interesting movie as I noticed that it entered the technological field, as opposed to other Disney movies
Is Big Hero 7 part of your must watch movies in the next couple of years? The story of Hiro and his cuddly robot friend, Baymax, is a highly anticipated one. But with the small amount of information coming from Walt Disney, what do we know so far?
Marvel’s Civil War comic book was published from 2006 till 2007 in a seven-issue run that was written by Mark Millar. The story focused on a disagreement within the superhero community about a superhero registration act that was enacted by the government after a group of teenage superheroes accidentally caused the deaths of hundreds of school children. The figureheads for both sides of the argument include Iron Man (aka Tony Stark) on the pro-registration side and Captain America (aka Steve Rogers) leading the anti-registration resistance. Throughout the story, both sides implement extreme measures, but only the opposition to the act has a violent break with their most radical element when Captain America aggressively confronts the Punisher over two criminals he gunned down who were looking to join their ranks. The story culminated with Captain America and Iron Man dueling it out, and Captain
Super Soldiers: Sounds like something straight out of Call of Duty or Halo right? Scientists are getting closer and closer to being able to breed the perfect soldier. If we had the ability to create an army of the perfect soldier, there could be peace in the world, fewer casualties in times of war, and with all that, few, or no wars at all.
When Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster told the first Superman stories in the Golden Age of comics (in the comic line, Action Comics) Superman wasn’t a god-like being who walked the surface of the sun after being sent to planet earth with the purpose of teaching humanity a better way of coexistence after his home planet died. When Superman was first created and introduced to the ether of pulp culture, he was a personification of what it means to be good in essence, whether a male or female it did not matter; any one individual, no matter the colour of their skin or their gender, could be Superman in essence, meaning that anyone could be good. That is why his Superman’s dawned slogan has been, “Truth, justice, and the American way” for as long as
The constant battle between our favorites has shown itself common now more than ever. Who do we like better? What do we like better? What is the absolute best? Are these questions necessary? No. But do they keep our lives interesting? Oh yes. In the spring of every year, there always seems to be a new superhero movie that debuts and leaves us on the edge of our seats, waiting for the next one. This year, we are being blessed with two movies, from two separate corporations, Marvel and DC; which leaves us with the question… Who did it better?
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is a great political thriller from Marvel Comics, which features Chris Evans as the lead actor. From the old-fashioned blockbuster entertainment "Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)" to the present day sequel, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" brings back the patriotic soldier Steve Rogers recipient of the "Super Solider Serum." This second installment features Roger who is forced into many tumultuous and discordant action. Above all, the film captures conglomeration of deep character development while "The Winter Soldier" is a comic-book movie only in its provenance. With its fierce violence and dark political content "The Winter Soldier" may be the most grown-up Avenger movie.
Clark Gregg states “there's something about the superheroes and the idea behind their relationship with humans, whether it's a metaphor for the better part of ourselves, or the more flawed part of ourselves.” This quote explains that our superheroes are the projection of modern society onto a relatable, yet better, version of humans. Superheroes are everyday people, just improved with superhuman powers; therefore, they are a fairly accurate embodiment of modern-day society. The hero of Iron Man represents society’s heavy reliance on technology as well as its desire for the development of new technology to improve life and safety. Iron Man is nothing without his metal suit and the gadgets that come with it.
Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will be slinging his way back onto Disney XD for a new animated show in 2017. The new show, simply titled ‘Spider-Man’, is supposedly a way to get back to the character’s roots, mainly at his early time fighting crime as a teenage hero in high school. The animated reboot will come at a time when Disney XD’s, ‘Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man’, which focuses on Spider-Man and Nick Fury working with S.H.I.E.L.D., is finishing up its four season run.one of the many reasons for the reboot is explained by Marc Buhaj, senior vice president, programming and general manager for Disney XD. He says, "Spider-Man is the biggest action hero in the world. He is an iconic character whose duality makes him both relatable and aspirational for the Disney XD audience," He promises "a fresh take on a beloved classic that will engage both new and existing Spidey fans with its compelling drama, exciting action and the signature sense of comedy." (Source: USA Today). In the released artwork, a very early Spider-Man is depicted in garb similar to the wrestling costume Toby Maguire wore in his Spider-Man origin story.
Captain America 3 can surely be added to the list of Phase 3 films. Even though there is no confirmation as of yet Captain America 3 is surely going to happen. Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a huge hit for Marvel. Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier is still free after saving Cap and walking off. He also knows who he is now.
My favorite scene in the movie Iron Man 2 is the one in which Tony Stark discovers the new element Vibranium. It just excites me the way he manipulates the hologram and works with J.A.R.V.I.S., an artificial intelligence program that he created by himself as if it were his lab partner. To me, that is the true meaning of computer science; taking a problem, finding a way to fix it, and fixing it. In Tony's case, his problem was the lack of a better arc reactor for his armored suits. My love for computer science is something that has been with me since birth, and in Ghana, where I grew up, you're considered successful if only you're a politician, a pilot, an engineer, a soldier, a doctor, a lawyer or a wealthy businessman and so there is no room
The first time I went to scrutinize the third Iron Man movie, there was a scene when I mentioned to myself, “Hey, I did something like that once.” If there was a character similar to me, it would be Iron Man. Iron Man is similar to me in character for the reason that he is smart. Another way that he is similar to me is that we are both innovative and love technology.
