Captain Jaggery told Charlotte that she had three choices to make. Choice one was to stick with the crew and finish their rising, but Charlotte is going to lose her good reputation and her father will not be that happy with her. Shortly thereafter, these guys tossed buoys to the pontoon and pulled out a white female, Bridgett Jones, who was complaining of injuries to her left arm. When Susannah and her family boarded the ship to investigate it, all of Jeremy’s crew including him were asleep below deck. When the family boarded the ship the crew members awoke to investigate what they were hearing. Susannahs family was steadily looking around the ship when her cousin, Martin came across a room full of money, gold, and weed. As soon as the whole family got in the room, Elwood was right behind them. He went and alerted the crew that they have been discovered. The crew took the family hostage and asked them a simple question, Jeremy asked “ Would you rather fight to keep my belongings, or would you rather let us go ahead and kill you here?” Of course the Martin, which is a outgoing person you could say jumps up and says “ We want to fight for the money and our lives.” Without anyone else saying anything Jeremy said “ Alright we are going to play a little game, one of you gets a assault rifle, one gets a pistol, the other ones get knifes, you get to pick what you want them to use. Go to the other side of the ship, and fire a round into the air when you are ready to fight.” Martin got very nervous then. The family got the guns and went one way while Jeremy’s crew went the other. Martin got the assault rifle, Axel got the pistol, the rest got knifes. Martin fired off a round, so the deathmatch has begun. When it was all over Susannah, and Axel were the only ones remaining. It was a
In the story, True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, the author Avi created an external conflict. A major conflict that was developed in the story was Charlotte not knowing who to trust. A possible theme in the book, True Confessions of Charlotte doyle, is that you can’t trust everyone and every little thing someone said. According to the text on page sixteen Mr. Keetch said, “But it’s my strong opinion, miss, that you should take another ship for your passage to America.” Mr. Keetch warned Charlotte to take another ship because she was the only girl on the ship. Also as stated in the beginning of the story Charlotte was convicted of murder, and the men on the ship were really rude to her. Charlotte didn’t know if she could trust them or not.
After Billy had borrowed the two 500 pound pontoons, Rico offered to stay behind as a watchdog to ensure Keet and his friends wouldn’t try and take them. The next morning however, when Tomi and his friends came back to the canal Rico was distant and had a black eye and scratches from Dwight, Keet’s “thug”. The fact that Rico hadn’t left the spot and stayed to protect the pontoons is admirable and loyal because most people would run away, leaving the pontoons for

The first option is that he will give Mr. Doyle the keys to the safe to get the muskets and kill Captain Jaggery. This will make her family shamed and reputation The second option is to put her old clothes on, ask for forgiveness, and everything will be in proper order. The third option is that she can be hanged. Charlotte rejects all the ideas and runs to the deck where the conspiracy had turned against them. The captain comes outside and shoots, only to miss because the ship plunges. Mr. Doyle retreats to the bowsprit, and soon Jaggery follows. Then, the ship plunges and Jaggery is thrown overboard. Zachariah wants Charlotte to be friends with Charlotte but she tells him earlier, “I don’t need a friend.” Charlotte doesn’t want to be friends with Zachariah because he is part of the crew and she only desires to be friends with someone of the same class. The theme occurred, on page 112, Charlotte says, “I’ve come,” I managed to say, “to be one of the crew.” Charlotte didn’t trust the crew because they were lower class and she was taught to be companions with people of the same class. Once she told the captain of the round robin and the pistol, and he killed Mr. Cranick and Zachariah, she realized he wasn’t who she thought he was.
That same afternoon, as Katie entered her room, she found the financial specialist already in it. Having no idea how he got in, Katie was told that she may have AIDS and was told to take an AIDS test by the man, who also demanded her to show him the results. Katie was petrified with fear and felt as though she could no longer trust anyone. Katie proceeded to tell a female sergeant about the incident, who then told her male NCOIC. The NCOIC met with Katie privately and told her “I know what you are claiming, and all this talk about rape just needs to be over or it’s gonna get you in trouble.” Katie then went to sick call the next day and asked for an AIDS/HIV test so the specialist would leave her alone about getting one. Katie was asked by the nurses why she wanted this test, since she had one not too long ago. She explained to them that a soldier had forced himself on her and demanded this re-test. The nurses complied, but asked no further questions.
The main character of this book is a thirteen-year-old girl named Charlotte Doyle. She is caring, brave, curious, and helpful. She is caring because when she hit Captain Jaggery, she didn’t mean to hit him, so she apologized because she knew that she made a mistake. Charlotte is brave because she was able to stand up for herself and Zachariah when getting hurt, she had the guts to grab the whip. I think that wanting to just get home, working through the uncomfort, or just getting off the ship is what motivates her. Yes, Charlotte Doyle is well developed by the author. He portrayed her as young, but brave girl who can take care of herself in situation, yet who is caring and kind-hearted. I agree with the way the character handled events

The night AJ had left Robbie went on a walk down the street to a popular McDonald’s, on her way back she found herself nearly kidnapped as she sprinted back to her aunt's apartment

On a cold wintery 10 degrees day in December Blaize decided he was going to go on a cruise ship with his friends to the Bahamas where the weather has been 75-80 degrees . Blaize and his friends Seth, Matt, Leonard, and Cameron all enjoy many of the same things. The cruise was to visit the Bahama islands and Cuba. On our way to the Bahamas we went through some extremely rough waters. The captain came over the loudspeaker and we were all told to “go to your rooms and stay in them until told otherwise” in a firm frightened voice. We all thought, “why, what is happening but we did as we were told. After sitting in our room for over an hour Seth, Cameron, Leonard, Matt, came up with the idea to explore the ship.
