Career and College Research Paper The career that I have chosen is to be a pharmacist. This is a very challenging career, but it is also very rewarding career personally and also financially. A pharmacist’s job is to fill prescriptions, observe how certain pills will react with other prescriptions, teach patients how to safely use the pills and warn them of potential side effects (“Summary”). I chose this career for many reasons. I chose this because it is a very interesting career to me and I would love to help people get better and recover from their abnormalities, whether it be the flu or a broken bone. One more thing that really grabbed my attention and helped me lean more towards this career is how much they can get paid by the hour. It is more than enough for a single person to live off comfortably. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the other duties for a particular career when making this decision. What do you want to do with your life? It is a question that almost everyone asks high school and college students, but for many, it is a dreaded question that is difficult to answer. For me, that wasn’t the case, as ever since my sophomore year of high school, my answer has been to become a pharmacist. My passion for pharmacy stemmed out of the opportunity to shadow a pharmacist who showed me a wide variety of career possibilities within pharmacy. I was intrigued by all the options that began on the foundation of learning science, understanding medications, and caring for patients.

The career path I have chosen to take is in the medical field. My dream from a young age was always to be a nurse. A nurse is a healthcare professional who is focused on caring for people, and making sure that they manage, maintain, and recover patients to the finest state of health (What is Nursing, par.1). Nursing makes up a vast majority of the healthcare industry. There is a huge range of nursing specialties. Nurses work in General and surgical Hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing care facilities, outpatient facilities, and home health services (Why Be a Nurse, par. 2). Prior to writing this essay, I sat down with my mom to come up with ideas on stories that have made me who I am today. That is when I realized I have made more personal growth in the past four years of my high school career that I have before this period of time. I am ending my high school career with more knowledge than I ever expected.

The future; after high school, after college, the future is a later time period that will happen in one’s life. For my future I plan to attend college and later become an engineer. College is one of the best choices available for high school graduates to ensure a successful future. Colleges offer specialized learning that when attended can open many opportunities. Two colleges I may attend after high school are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) or California Institute of Technology (Caltech). After college I plan to choose a career in the field of engineering. Two career possibilities are Aerospace Engineering or Biomedical Engineering. By researching these two universities and two possible careers, I have learned about the many possibilities that lie ahead for my future.
I have been working on my academic career for many years now. I am currently in my third year of community college, and have come across multiple teachers who have helped and inspired me in many ways. A teacher not only teaches the content of their course, but life skills as well. They are kind, caring, considerate, and understanding of their students. A teacher who goes above and beyond for their students is one that will make a difference. One teacher who I believe has made all the difference to me, was my accounting professor.
The career I have chosen to do is an occupational therapist. An occupational therapist does many different things. An occupational therapist helps many different people accomplish many different everyday life skills and tasks. For example they would help teach a stroke victim learn how to get dressed again. Also they would help kids who have autism learn everyday tasks, like tie your shoes, use a pencil, catch a ball, ETC. They also recommend special equipment to help the person preform these tasks easier. If someone has a chronical condition or arthritis an occupation therapists will also show them ways to exercise and relief any pain.
In my career research report, I am going to be trying to accomplish some of my goals. I feel like it’s time to start planning for my future and what I want to do with it, so a main goal is to find a suitable career for me. I have already seen some amazing career opportunities for me to think about. Though I really hope I can get at least an A on my research paper and make sure I enjoy the whole process of doing this project.
The career path that I have chosen for myself is pharmacy technician. I have always wanted some sort of pharmaceutical job, and a pharmacy technician seems like a career that would be do-able and enjoyable for me.
The career I have chosen to research is nutritionist. I have chosen this career because of my strong interest in biology, simple math, and food science. I think that not only being a nutritionist would benefit my career life, but also my personal life as well. In addition, it is a career that can be flexible and more "personally oriented": such as opening my own clinic, writing columns about nutrition, or opening my own "specified food restaurant/grocery store". I was hooked to the idea when my mom discussed with me that this job was "feminine", flexible, and opens up a road to numerous opportunities in expanding my career to my taste.
For the longest time I could not decide on a major and a career to study throughout college. When I came to Georgia Southern University I discovered that they had a major that was very interesting to me. Sport Management id the ideal major for my interest and me. Since I love sports I figured that this would be the career for me. A degree in Sport Management helps to prepare for success in sport related occupations.
