As the educational requirements has changed over time there are a few basic step that have to be accomplished first. Anyone who’s trying to enter this field must with hold a high school diploma. Also have to take courses in english, biology, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, computer, and fundamental math. There are three education profession choices for a person trying to become a medical assistant. The first is two organizations a certified medical assistant (CMA) designated to the american association of medical assistants (AAMA) and a registered medical assistant (RMA) designated to the american medical technologist (AMT). The second option are a one to two year program taught by your allied health advisor and training at clinicals
My goals are to get certified as Certified Nursing Assistant, then get certified as a Medical Assistant while I pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Afterwards, I will enter graduate school to specialize in cardiology and become a cardiac physician. I figured becoming a certified nursing assistant then a medical assistant will give me a closer feel to doing what I love besides shadowing doctors and nurses as I already do.
I am here at Coyne College getting a degree in medical assistants because I want to eventually work in a hospital. I am going to start off just working in a clinic, then I will move my way up to a hospital. Being a medical assistant is what I’ve always wanted to do my whole life growing up. I also came into this field of medical assistant because I want a career, I do not want to work at any and every job my whole life. I want to be something. A medical assistant is important to the physicians and nursing staff. Doctors and nursing staff have to be able to concentrate on the medical problems and concerns of their patients. These assistants keep the physicians on schedule, the healthcare facility on course, the workflow smooth and running, the patients informed, and the customers comfortable and safe. Basically, they keep the medical office together. Physicians and surgeons have their own long list of chores and responsibilities to maintain. They just do not have enough time to handle all of the chores that are given to the medical assistants. Without them, things would be really chaotic and frustrating.
