Career College Promise

Students adapt to college classes, making their transition from high school to college much easier. Another great thing about the program is that it gets students familiar with scheduling all their classes. Each student is also assigned an advisor to make sure his or her grades are on track.

As we prepare to enter high school, students choose their classes in alignment with their dream jobs. The process can be tough, as many variables involved with careers will change by the time we are prepared to enter our fields, and college is a more complicated step in between. In order to best navigate the storm of career preparation, it is wisest to base our decisions on our skills and interests rather than the appeal of a “cool” job. Through the College Foundation of North Carolina, we can navigate through every step of the process based on scientific data through surveys. This report explores my personal recommendations as I go through the CFNC process.

Often students take high school for granted; consequently it shows when they reach college. For example, in high school, teachers may accept late work, tardiness, and continuous inappropriate behavior. The college classes that they will have to face will not tolerate such things as this. Preparing for the work load and lifestyle is the two most important objectives to grasp early.

Many students have a decision to make during high school. That is whether to continue and go to college or just stop there. By having a college education a person is offered a variety of job opportunities. While non-college students have opportunities they are very limited and rare. College is expensive and choosing a career is strenuous. College is extremely important in a student’s career and continuing school pays off. Many view colleges as a make or break situation. However, a person should think about their future and family.

When students reach their junior and senior years of high school, they are faced with pressure from teachers, counselors, and parents to choose and apply to colleges. Instead of succumbing to the pressure, some students choose to pursue careers with no degree necessary or careers in the military. Other students are still left contemplating whether or not college is worth the financial strain. When other factors such as future career earnings, personal growth, and potential friendships and relationships are considered, it becomes clear that college truly is worth the cost.

College courses are currently being offered at most high schools in the country. Some parents and students do not know what to think or how to feel about this. “It really takes the stress off of paying for more credit hours in college,” says Victoria (Kxan News). In addition to lower cost, some see other benefits such as “I could graduate a year early …” (US News). Because of this circumstance, I have decided to utilize my college experience as an opportunity to learn more about myself and what I love. In order to obtain the tools needed to work at your dream job, someone must teach them at a higher educational level. Graduating from high school is what every student is looking forward to. However, going to college is a big accomplishment for all students. The first day of freshman high school and college feels the same, the excitement and pressured. As many students experienced, both high school and college could be compared their similarities. First, both students in college and high school are expected to behave in well mannered, attend to every class on time, and respect the teachers or professors. Second, being prepared in class is needed for the success whether the students are in high school or college. Third, high school and college allow the students to figure out and pursue their career. In contrary, high school and college have a lot of differences to each other. Unlike high school, students in college can choose a college they would prefer, they can manage their own time, and students be able to learn how to balance their responsibilities and priorities.

College is a very important subject when it comes to planning your future. Colleges can be found in almost every part of the world, and in a numerous amount of countries. College is an educational institute of higher education and also where academic research takes place. While attending college, you work towards obtaining a college degree of your choice to work in a related career field or profession. After completing college and earning your degree, you now have the training and knowledge for starting a career. For many people, going to college and earning a degree is the only way to being successful and obtaining a career. At the same time, for many others it’s a waste of time and a trap for student-loan debt with an unpromising job market.

Several options are available for pupils who meet the programs' requirements. With the A+ Program, academically strong pupils can get free tuition to any community college in Missouri providing program requirements are met. The A+ Tutor program allows A+ candidates to earn credits for tutoring other students. Seniors can apply for a Work Release Program which allows them the opportunity to join the workforce or explore a career opportunity within a short time period. Dual Credit courses allow pupils to enroll in and take

Career Academies is implemented within the high school setting and strives to provide instruction in small learning communities. Additionally, the program offers youth both academics and exposure to a particular occupation or sector. The important key Career Academies focus is on partnering with local employers to provide concrete work-based learning opportunities (Wilmer and Bloom, 2014). This program is open to both at-risk men and women with the goal of impacting families that may have began before high school graduation.

This helps students earn college credits, while in high school. One way to get these credits is the Collegiate High School. According to southflorida.edu, “High achieving 11th and 12th grade public school students attend college full time taking approximately 15 credit hours per term.” (Dual Enrollment). This means students would be able to graduate with not only a high school diploma, but also an AA degree. Students could also take Dual Enrollment too. Southflorida.edu states, “Dual Enrollment allows highschool and college classes that apply toward highschool and college graduation requirments.”(Dual Enrollment). Students who wait a year before starting college may have a hard time going to college after that year because of everyday experiences, that may alter their mind of their want or need to attend college. In one school year off after high school, students are likely to obtain a job to keep money in their pockets, get pregnant, or have to much spare time on their hands, which can lead them to hanging with bad influential people, that will in turn get students involved in activities like stealing or fighting that will then
