In researching veterinary schools, I found the unique educational programs offered though The WSU directly aligned with my career goals in every aspect. My extensive background in both human and animal medicine ignited a passion for advancing my education and increasing my contributions to a healthy world. Having respected the work of the One Health Initiative and Lab Animal Welfare and medicine for a long time, it would be a privilege to be educated in a program which is a leader in solving the Global health challenge through dedicated centers such as the Center for
D day was June 6th in 1944. This was during World War II when the allied forces invaded or intruded a northern part of France in Normandy. They had spoken about it over the radio and all Jews were excited to hear such good news. D-day is recognized in the USA, but is not necessarily a all around celebrated holiday. Jewish people still do celebrate it in order to remember the horrific past of the war and the Jews to have survived it and those who died fighting.

Veterinary technicians are like the techies of the theatre; the organization would be able to function without them, but it would be much harder. Things run a lot more smoothly with vet techs. There are multiple benefits that come with being a veterinary technician. These benefits include, but are not limited to, a high job outlook, great room for advancement, and only two years of schooling (depending on the route you take). Above all, the animals, who aren’t always able to help themselves, are being taken care of.
When becoming a veterinary technician, one of the utmost important steps is to take appropriate courses in high school and college and afterwards get the correct licenses and certifications. For those, each state is a little different in which certifications they require in order to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. Whether you are planning to be a LVT (licensed veterinary technician), RVT (registered veterinary technician) or CVT (certified veterinary technician), depends on which state the tech lives in. New Mexico, along with many other states, currently registers and certifies vet techs, but they do not license them. The difference between certifying and licensing is that to be certified is just a statement of qualification, while

For the duration of my entire life, I had habitually fantasized about what I could become, what all I could accomplish, and most predominantly, how I could enhance the world in my own way. Over the years I have come to terms with the fact a single person can surely not change the entire world. Thus, my goals shifted from changing the world to something I care about deeply and passionately, which is animals. Accordingly, I have decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. With these goals and aspirations in mind, Madison became my top choice to expedite my knowledge and someday allow me to accomplish these dreams. Madison not only has an exceptional and nationally recognized veterinary program, but it holds both a bustling city feel as
One of my main educational and also career goals in the world of veterinary medicine and animal health care would have to be completing all necessary courses to obtain my Veterinary Assisting certificate and going to work at a vet clinic. Eventually, I may chose to go back to school to complete the rest of the courses needed to become a Veterinary Technician. I have always grown up around animals so I assume that is where my love and passion for helping animals came from. As a young child and still to this day, I have always found comfort, peace, and an increased amount of patience in being around animals. I have also always been intrigued by the idea of therapy/service animals. I see those animals being able to truly make an impact on their
Veterinarians can choose from different specialties for a career path. Even though choosing to specialize in large animal care is less lucrative than becoming a companion animal vet, there are many reasons to still choose it as a career. Unfortunately, there is currently a shortage of large animal veterinarians. There are several factors that contribute to this shortage, including financial, large rural areas and physical challenges. Veterinarians who care for livestock are important for the production of food and any shortages of these veterinarians may have a negative effect on agriculture.
