Twenty-first century is the age of information, communication and entertainment (ICE). Mass media ie radio, television, movies, advertising, news media, newspaper and magazines, has a vital role to play in the development of a country and created many job opportunities as well.
Radio, the grandfather of the electronic media is a unique and exciting way - practical and personal - that encourages listeners to develop an unusual association with presenters and stations. Radio Radio is a very effective and efficient way for information dissemination, education and entertainment to the masses. Unmatched with other means of mass communication, radio is persistent, enterprising and friendly. In common with the rest of the establishment media, Radio in the past 90 years has gone through different periods of modifications and changes as the group staff, analog to digital, AM to FM, Public to Private and announcer RJ . He transformed his size, format, duration, and its programs, but remained pervasive not only in developing countries but also in the heart of developed countries. But one thing is sure that Radio needs of creative and talented people to fill a range of interesting and diverse roles.

The educational function of the media is about allowing society to know their legal rights. The informational aspect of the media does not need to be explained; it is self-explanatory. With the advent of information technology, the ways different aspects of life work and operate have changed a great deal. Media has always had a great influence in molding the culture of a society. There was a point of time when television and radio were invented and when computer was invented and there was little connection between the two. Time then travelled fast then through the age of cassettes, records, VCDs, DVDs, flash drive and then the internet. Media also started to go satellite on a massive scale and there came a point of time when media and digital communication systems became closely integrated with one another, opening the dimensions to digital media.
Mass media has experienced many major developments over the past hundred years. As the manner in which media is communicated to the world evolves a definite shift to American culture has occurred in the process. Mass media has undergone numerous changes in the way it is distributed to the general public, going from newspapers, to radio, to television, and now to the World Wide Web. American culture is so ingrained in technology, that distributing mass media in this format seems like a natural step in the evolutionary process of distribution.
There have been so many major developments in the evolution of mass media we now live in a day and age where we are constantly continuously connected. I have greatly always been fascinated by how much things have changed in just fifteen years. Fifteen years ago when I was sixteen and looking for a job. I would have to walk into an establishment and physically fill out a paper application and sometimes get an immediate interview. The other options were to use a news paper to look for jobs. Now just fifteen years later not even a century I can down load an application have my resume uploaded and apply for twenty jobs in a matter of minutes and receive call backs the same day it’s incredible. In the last century we have gone from the radio invention with just sound listening to movies, to black and white TV set, to color TV set to big flat screen TV that can go 3D.
The radio was used as a distancing agent from others as he listened to it alone, but at the same time it encouraged interaction as he regularly called in to radio stations to win prizes and talk with the hosts. Television brought him closer to his immediate family but pulled him away from the larger world around him, almost the exact opposite of radio. Also, did the fact that radio led to the creation of television impact in any way the amount of jingles and little tunes commercials and shows insisted on? Would there had been less if radio and television were created at more separate times? It is difficult to say. I do know that from the interview I performed it seemed that television had not taken every listener of radio away with its development, not quite like how it sounded when we went over it in class. Concerning what we learned in class I was left surprised that radio had survived at all in today’s television-focused environment. The fact that all three aspects of media, records, radio, and television, were able to coexist relatively easily was definitely interesting and a bit reassuring.
