There was a girl name Carla. She was 14 years old and she was in high school. She lives with her mother who is 43 years old. Carla and her mother came to Haiti to United states. Carla did not know so much English and it was so difficult for her in high school. At the begin of her high school experience she did not like it at all. She was being tease while she was in 9th and 10th grade. While she was in high school she was thinking about doing suicide on her self because she could not take it no more of people making fun of her in school. She was also afraid to tell her parent of what was going on with her in school. While she was in 9th and 10th grade she was facing bulling and she wanted accepted from her peers. Her class mate was teasing her because her language was not perfect like how they speak. She had a thick accent, because she was not born here. She was born in Haiti. They would call her any type of name that can break her down. She always does whatever her class mate is doing for them to accept her. Because of that now that she is a young adult it is so hard for her to believe guys and trust people, and other people to accept her that can turn out in a good way or bad way for her. The role of as a human service worker is that you make sure she have a therapy in school every twice a week. For her to keep a diary or note book to write down everything that happen to her while she do not see her therapy, so when her and the therapy meet again they can talk

Life as a child was really rough,. When I was about 9 years old, my mother would abuse me for completely nothing. eEverything I did was wrong. If I didn’t never eat all my food, I would get slapped,. if I didn’t never do my homework, iI would get slapped. Taking care of my siblings was hard enough and iI was slacking on my school work because I hadve so much to do at home. All I ever did was stay home, watch kids, clean house, and make dinner. I was the oldest, so I didn’t really have a choice but to do all those things because my mother was a druggie. During my teenage years, it got a little better because my mother she had a job,. sShe was going to gonna graduate soon and her siblings wereas doing pretty good in school, Uuntil one day she woke up to people knocking on the door. sShe yelled “Hold on i’m coming.”
The ethical principle set forth by the NASW states “social workers respect the inherent dignity and worth of the person (NASW, 2008).” The social worker in this case has a duty to treat the clients respectfully and be mindful of individual differences, culture, and ethnic diversity. As the social worker, it was imperative that I work with Stephanie to build upon her capacities and seek ways to guide her to be capable to address her own needs.
She loses respect for so many. She even loses friends in the making of this senior project. She was always told, she would become a teen mom and she wanted to see what if I was? She keeps trying her hardest to not get hurt by the words that other tells her and she tries to pretend that it’s okay. Overall she is hurting and she isn’t even pregnant but she sticks with it. She fights all the fights she needs too (not physical.) She puts herself out there. She straps on a fake belly every day and pushes herself to go to school. She is judged not just by her “friend” but by her peers and even teachers. She even is looked down to and seen as not the smart kid in the back. She was known as the teen pregnant and no other name title. She had to get this project out of the way. She was even looked down upon those teachers that she looked up to and they just said how she had thrown her life away. She was talked about by even students that’s she never knew. Rumors were spread and then the feelings were felt. She knew she could take off the belly at any time but she didn’t and she fought through
The rain got harder as Tina walked alone in tears. She missed her daughter Iris. Tina thought about all the good times they had together. She wondered why Iris had done that to herself. Iris was a skinny young girl who killed herself. Iris wa bullied at school for how far she was, so Iris decided to stop eating. Tina was walking in the rain. It had been a year since Iris was gone. She thought back to that day. Tina woke up and made herself some coffee. She nibbled on a muffin that she bought from the store yesterday. She took Iris to school and then went to work. Tina went throughout her day as usual, but what she didn’t know was that soon her daughter would take her own life. Iris got home and went up into her bedroom. Tina wouldn’t get home
Life was always tough for 21 year old Amanda Cofield. At the delicate age of 8, her parents passed away, and she was sent to live with her grandma. When she was 11, she had gotten into a devastating car crash making her unable to attend the rest of the school year. This caused her to be held back a year, and all her friends moved up into the campus' middle school leaving Amanda lonely. By the time she was 17, she moved to a different school, and was bullied for her appearance. At the age of 18, her scholarship for college was retracted for no specific reason.
Although the physical abuse left scars, the verbal abuse was frequently thrown at her. Whether it was from her father, or her classmates she is consistently reminded what an outsider she was.

The following months a winter, cold and gloomy, surrounded the house. My grandmother came to stay with us since my father had fallen into depression and needed help taking care of my sister and I. When my grandmother went grocery shopping my sister would struggle with homework without my grandmother’s help. One day when my grandmother left to go grocery shopping my sister approached me, which was unusual of her since its very rare for her to come to me. Her dark brown hair and big eyes reminded me of my self when I was younger. “I’m hungry” she complained, a question she’s never asked me. My father sleeping and my grandmother away, I was the only one left to take care of her and that terrified me. I had never cared for or known how to care for someone else. All I knew was how to evaluate whether or not someone was caring for another correctly.
In the First Grade I had Mrs. Stevens as a teacher. Ms. Stevens was about 35 or 40 at the time, 2002, in Alba Michigan. Ms. Stevens had grown up and went to the same school her entire life. This school was very very small, an average of 12 students per graduating class it was a K-12Th. The county was a population was about 1000 and less than 150 kids in the school. In 2000 my mom fought for Asperger diagnosis and the school at the time did not have a single teacher who was certified in special education. Along with this diagnosis came with an ADD diagnosis. The class was small, there was 7 kids in the class and my friend Jahkaya and I were the only girls in the class. Jahkaya was also the only person of color in the entire school.
