Carolyn reported that she is a stay at home mom, while dad works for Tucker Material at a dispatcher/truck driver. SSCM addressed the allegations that were listed in the report. Bmo denied allegations in the report, and provided information she knew about the bruised eye. Annie Harper was not allowed to register to vote in Virginia because she wasn’t able to pay the state’s poll tax. Virginia law required voters to pay $1.50 tax to register, with the money collected going to public school funding. Ms. Harper sued the Virginia Board of Elections, claiming the poll tax violated her 14th Amendment right to equal protection. Note: The 24th Amendment to the Constitution already banned poll taxes in federal elections, but not in state elections. The U.S. District Court dismissed Ms. Harper’s suit in favor of the Board of Elections. She then asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case.
Jamina Briggs is a 32-year-old African American female initially admitted to Memphis Mental Health Institute (MMHI) August 1, 2013, pursuant to provisions of T.C.A. §33-7-301(a) for an evaluation and assessment of competency and mental condition at the time of the alleged offenses of two counts of first degree murder of her children. She was discharged on September 26, 2013 as not competent and a recommendation for commitment. On November 11, 2013 Ms. Briggs was admitted to Western Mental Health Institute (WMHI)for continued treatment and competency training pursuant to the provisions of T.C.A. §33-7-301(b). On April 4, 2015 Ms. Briggs was discharged from WMHI as competent with support for the insanity defense. Following the court’s decision of not guilty by reason of insanity, Ms. Briggs was evaluated by West Tennessee Forensics, an outpatient provider, and subsequently admitted to WMHI pursuant to provisions of T.C.A. §33-7-303(c). The reporter stated there was an incident when Mrs. Sterling sent a 15 year old boy that Briana wanted to go to homecoming with text messages about her breast. The reporter also stated there was an incident when Mrs. Sterling dropped Briana off at a party she was not invited to because the host did not want to deal with her mother. The reporter stated Briana knew the owners of the home and she was not injured or harm while attending the party. The reporter stated Mrs. Sterling has been witnessed grabbing Briana’s hair, yelling, screaming, and threatening to hit her with a belt when she doesn’t perform her gymnastic stunts correctly. Ms. Barbay stated Mr. Sterling comes into the home drunk and Mrs. Sterling will call the children in a room when the parents are about to fight; the children have to stand in the room to watch their parents fight. On Wednesday July 15, 2015, Heidi Peterson contacted the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in regards to complaint against the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Heidi Peterson alleged that the DCF had removed her child from her custody utilizing false information. Heidi Peterson was previously advised by SA Jose Ramirez to contact the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the DCF; however, Heidi Peterson alleged this office was not properly investigating her case.

She stated the incident happened the past summer in the month of July. She stated the incident was related to one of the many times that Justin was into areas that he was supposed to be in. On March 1, 2016 at approximately 09:30 AM, Jacklyn Thomas was at the Muskogee County District Court House in reference to a review hearing. Investigator Joe Poffel knew Ms. Thomas had two felony warrants out for her arrest through Muskogee County. Ms. Thomas was placed into custody after her court hearing without further incident, and was transported to the Muskogee Police Department to subsequently be interview on an additional case involving Ms. Thomas' children. After the interview, Ms. Thomas was taken to the Muskogee County Jail.

In August, 1985, Janet Turner, an employee of Hershey Chocolate USA, started working at the Hershey’s Reading, Pennsylvania plant. Turner worked as a custodian and in several production capacities. During her time working at Hershey, she was diagnosed with several medical problems, including “post laminectomy pain syndrome, fused cervical discs, thoracic outlet syndrome, and cervical radiculopathy.” (Turner vs Hershey, 2006) Following her several surgeries, Turner returned back to work in 1999 as a shaker table inspector for a York peppermint patty line. Hershey made several accommodations due to her new work restrictions.
