Faith Uhlenkott Carroll College Admissions Application Essay I remember being in junior high and being a shy, awkward-aged young teenager. I remember how I would perform in my studies versus how I do now. I remember not even knowing how to throw a softball or what the difference between a republican and a democrat are. That was four years ago. That is 48 months, 208 weeks, and 1,460 days. I have learned how to be the unique and lively young woman I had hoped myself to be. I have become a well-rounded student and athlete. I have accomplished things I never thought possible and made friends along the way I never could have imagined. I have experienced so much growth. I have been able to go through life-changing experiences that have molded me into who I am today. I am still not 100% sure where my life is headed or what is in store for me, but I think that’s the beauty of life. Growth is what makes us who we are. As I reflected on that I thought about exactly what that meant to me. It meant that in the next 4 years, 48 months, 208 weeks, and 1,460 days, I want to see myself grow into a better person than I am today. I want to be somewhere that challenges me to live out my faith in the best way I can. I want to attend a college will impact my seven siblings in their decision making process for college, and I want to attend a college that is not only best for me, but is best for them. I want to be in a setting that gives me the best education I can receive so that I can live up to my full potential.
