That is what makes it so great, the fact that people cannot see it. It can make people question whether they want to mess with someone or a certain business. Concealed carry is also not handed out to everyone that applies. There are multiple stages of trying to acquire the license to allow this. One stage is a background check. The government checks to see if you have a history of mental illnesses, any arrests or runnings into the law, and more. It is also our right. Gun Control is a hot topic in the U.S. Politicians have been arguing about increasing and enforcing more Gun Control laws across the nation; however, America should not enact Gun Control laws. Enacting these laws will create more issues in America instead of solving the issue at hand. Guns are necessary for protection against tyranny and acts of violence. The total crime rate in America has gone down without the existence of Gun Control.

Did you know that approximately 90% of crimes could be stopped if there was a person with a concealed carry permit? All you have to do is confront the criminal and say I got a concealed weapon, another 5% all you have to do is draw your weapon and the crime is stopped. Now imagine if they open carried and had their gun could be seen, would there still be so many crimes? We need to stop blaming the guns and start blaming the people behind the guns. Guns can be used for good and bad it just depends on what the people using the guns decide to use it for.

The history of guns has long been embedded in our society and culture. Back in the old days, people used guns for the hunting of food. Most people in those days also would use guns as their main source of income as wells as for the protection of themselves from Indians, wild animals, and other enemies. There had less rules concerning the purchasing of guns and the handling of it. However, the times are really changing and the intents of civilians to do things are sometimes not for the better. According to the viewpoint essay “Stronger Gun Control Laws Will Save Lives” by Christine Watkins, Watkins states that there are “400,000 crimes committed every year,” and “the United States has the highest rate of firearm deaths (more than 30,000 each year) among twenty-five high-income nations.” Firearms are very dangerous, and having guns does not necessarily mean that it will protect a person from enemies. It is the government’s responsibility to protect its citizens, not the citizens themselves. There would be a reduction of gun-related deaths and incidents by having stricter gun regulations and performing more thorough background checks or gun owners.

. The United State has passed some laws concerning the ownership and use of gun, and more legislation is being considered. Most of this legislation retrain, to an extent, the rights of the people to own or use gun. Some of these constraint may be necessary, but presently some legislation is taking it too far. The community gain from the use guns in the hands of reasonable or responsible citizens. An attempt to stop the use or take away gun use from this community might not do well. As individuals in such community fight for the protection of its people.

In conclusion the government should not take are right to bear arm. We need guns to feel safer, self defiance and to feel like we our intimidating. Just because the government takes the gun control away dose not mean it will prevent mass shooting, friends and family giving them their gun, or even going to another state that will give them a gun. There are also less accidentals deaths. You can get gun education, you need screening, and also being raised up with guns has a good percentage of knowing how to handle a gun and have good education on it. Controlling the sale of firearms can greatly decrease the number of violent crimes.

Gun control in the United States should be abolished. Some people in the United States believe that gun control is necessary. However, it is clear that gun control is wrong and unconstitutional. Gun control directly violates the 2nd constitutionally amendment and should not be allowed. Allowing concealed guns not only brings in revenue for the government, but, it also keeps the public safe. Over 100 million people in the United States own guns solely for the purpose of self-defense. Those people deserve to be able to have and keep that right as a citizen of the United States. It is the right of the American people to make the choice on whether to own a gun or not. The positive effects that guns have on people outweigh the negative effects. Although guns have been used in the act of committing a lot of crime in the country, they have also been used to prevent a lot of crime and are one of the largest crime preventers. Many other countries in the past have put a ban on firearm weapons to try to prevent crime and other various reasons. It has been shown through research and studies that these countries who banned firearms have suffered from much more crime within their countries after the ban. This means that with control of guns comes no good effects on crime only increasing the amounts from before (CPRC). It has also been proved that where right-to-carry laws are permitted crime rates drop in numerous amounts. There is a difference between gun control and self protection. Self protection is one of the main reason people buy guns. But it can sometimes hurt the people around you. Like if you're keeping the gun in your house and you have children. They could somehow get a hold to it. Its important to keep it out of reach of children. Lots of killing is due to gun control. The Idea of gun control needing to be expanded will lead to more harm than good in keeping people safe and reducing gun related crime and lower down crime rate in general.
