Tait Communications ltd is a global company with some millions of people around the globe depending on tait products to keep their lights on cites flowing and communities safe. The core business operation of tait is to manufacture radio equipment for emergency services departments. Other wing of tait is to provide communication solutions to its clients. The company clients are spread across the globe but its key clients are from North America, United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. It has more than 40 years of excellence track record in engineering. Post Christchurch earthquake most of the organisations are in the process of building structures that can resist quakes in order to make their employees feel safe at work place. As a response to quakes Tait was also constructing a new campus but it is also planning to change the workplace culture to open door policy. An “open door policy” means that every manager’s door is open to every employee (Susan). It shows the organisational transparency. The level of organisational transparency reveals the nature of reciprocal relations between the management and employees and indicates whether employees are considered as institutional partners or as employees with limited rights. Intra – institutional transparency contributes to greater employee trust on the administration and willingness to respect organisation’s decisions even when they conflict with person needs (Joseph, 2012).
