I work at Abandoned Treasures Resale Shop, and a week ago my boss purchased a huge collection of baseball cards, mostly 1980-90's, and while I know they don't hold much value we are only asking for 25 cents per card. A large portion of the cards are grouped by teams, however others are still in books. The collection is so large that it's hard to photograph all of it, if you're interested it would helpful to know certain teams, players or even years you are interested in and I could send you pictures of those, or you can stop by (we're located in East Alton). Please email me back if you're interested and thank you for your time.
These cards also make wonderful gifts for baseball fans of all ages. They can be saved in their unopened package for future use, added to an already existing collection, sold, or traded to other baseball card collectors.

Collecting baseball, football, basketball, hockey, NASCAR, and soccer souvenirs and collectibles is a serious hobby for many people. Collecting souvenirs and collectibles from a team that no longer exists or from athletes who are no longer playing makes this hobby even more special. One of the earliest Major League Baseball teams was the Boston Braves, and there are plenty of souvenirs and collectibles available to purchase.
A company of businessmen purchased 15 acres adjoining the Municipal Cemetery in May 1906, resurrecting the name "Long Beach Cemetery Association." They planned to organize the cemetery association on the land north of Willow and offer "perpetual" care. It would be a private concern and offer the best in landscaping, parking and care.

As the Director of LINC, I led the team that verified the accuracy of burial and headstone placement through inspection for each gravesite using the cemetery layout maps, historical burial records, and printout from the Burial Operations Support System (BOSS). In doing so guided my senior staff through conducting a grave-by-grave, 100% assessment of the entire cemetery. My challenge was to coordinate and record the correction of these sensitive discrepancies. The corrective measures required family notification, the disinterment, and re-interment of remains with burials dating back over 40 years for some. I worked to prevent a media incident that would cause widespread speculation and further damage the VA in the public forum.

This lot is comprised of two Star Wars characters; Barada and Lando Calrissian. Not only are these characters over 25 years old, but they are in good condition and have never been opened. However, it is important to note that the bubbles on both cards have yellowed and show signs of wear. Likewise, Barada's card contains two holes at the top and is punched, which is depicted in the images provided. Nevertheless, these characters would be a great addition to any Star Wars collection and if you have any further questions or want additional images, please feel free to send us a message. Happy
Yesterday I threw out an old jar of peanut butter with only about an inch left. It no longer served a purpose, as I had purchased a new and improved jar. As I began to toss the jar towards the garbage, I was reminded of an essay I had just read. In his essay Dumpster Diving, Lars Eighner suggests that when we throw away items, homeless people can find a way to make use out of whatever it is. Therefore, if we don't want there to be bums on the street, it is inferred that we shouldn't throw anything extra out. I myself was not supporting the homeless community, or being wasteful, I was just trying to make room in the cabinet. If I would have kept that inch of peanut butter, it wouldn't have made the world's population of homeless people try
