Currently, DOE makes all their payments through a third party system FAMIS that does not link to FMS. The Office of Community Schools will pilot an effort to make payments via the City’s new Health and Human Services (HHS) Accelerator System. The Accelerator System was built to streamline the process for providers’ interface and enhance management of procurement and financial data throughout agency contracts. The Accelerator system was used to manage the Community Schools RFP. As part of the initiative, DOE will pilot the procurement portion and financial component of the Accelerator system. This system will offer a systematic way of distributing payments to CBO providers. This Accelerator pilot will require additional technical assistance
