Juggling life is definitely a chore at times. However, in the end, the choices made, lessons learned, and the hard times make the good times all the better. In April of 2015, I interviewed for a job at a local veterinary clinic. After receiving a call from the manager, I bloomed with enthusiasm because she offered the position to me, One month later, I started at the Animal Medical Center of Dubois County in Jasper, Indiana. Adding this job into my already busy schedule was challenging, yet I knew it would help me with future opportunities. For my service learning project I am volunteering at the Animal General Veterinary Hospital located on route 206, in Augusta, NJ. It is right down the street from The Yetter's Diner. Some history about the Animal General Veterinary Hospital, and how it came to be is all from Jacob Tanis. Jacob Tanis owned Ideal Farms. Emery Castimore managed the farm, who is the dad of Sam Castimore. Emery Castimore along with his son Sam Castimore, and the rest of his family grew up under the influence of Ideal Farms black angus, and guernsey. Sam Castimore knew ever since he was a little kid that he loved animals. “To say the least, love for animals is in my blood.” said Sam Castimore. Sam Castimore received his doctorates degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
