I grew up in a New Philadelphia which is a small city located in Tuscarawas County Ohio. While exploring the EJ environmental indicators I was not overly surprised by the information that I found. The part of the city where I grew up, the east side, is in the 60-70th percentile for lead paint while the majority of the city is in the 80-90th percentile, the west side of the city which is more impoverished area has sections in the 90-95th percentile and 95-100th percentile. My neighborhood is in the 80-90th percentile in “Proximity to Risk Management Plan Facilities,” which was not shocking because there is an industrial park approximately three miles from my neighborhood. The west side of town is in the 90-95th and 95-100th percentile in this indicator. There are

John Vrooman argued that an owner would have the right to relocate their team to a more valuable market, but only if all potential values had been exhausted from the original market (1997). Vrooman uses algorithms to prove that an owner would be better off creating a new stadium in the current market and increasing revenue than by moving out (1997). If this is true, the Rams owner Stan Kroenke has not exhausted his values in St. Louis. A new stadium would rejuvenate the franchise, fans, and community by creating jobs and better facilities used for events and local organizations. The 20 year old Edward Jones Dome is outdated by NFL stadium standards and a new, improved stadium will attract sports fans. Keeping the Rams in St. Louis will secure
The city of Dallas is one of the cities in the United States with the highest poverty percentage. I chose the topic as my previous job was in the city of Dallas I cared for many poor people who lived in the city. They had no insurance, most of them were homeless and had nowhere to go after being discharged. More than half of Dallas families make less than $25,000 annually. 28.4 percent of the households earn less than $25,000 per annum (Gilmore, 2017). The Dallas economy has demonstrated to work well for the rich and well up, but it has failed to provide opportunities and favorable growth for the working class and poor in the society ( Gilmore, 2017). The literacy level is low in Dallas County, and it is estimated that by the year 2030, the
According to FEMA in Professor Rion’s PowerPoint slides, a disaster is “An occurrence that has resulted in property damage, deaths, and/or injuries to the community” (FEMA, 1990). I personally believe this definition is the best because not every disaster has to have a certain amount of deaths to occur or a specific number of injuries. I also like this definition because it fits to the disaster that happened in my hometown over a year ago.

Every year Yuma Arizona received 83,000 snowbirds (elder people), they are one of the principle target market customers because they prefer organic food for health problems reasons. A total of 1,300,000 tourists come to Yuma every year, we are assuming that around 25% of those tourists would stop by the store to buy some organic products. According to the United States Census, there is an estimate of 203,247 persons in the Yuma County, and 30.2% of that population is considered obese. Another strong market are the people who would like to be healthier and lose weight. There are around 1,000 pregnant women per year in Yuma, and we expect some of that population to shop at the store during their pregnancy. With these different target markets,
Again, the first priority with any of my decisions was the citizens of Sparksville specifically economic growth, sustainability and jobs. With each company, I had to look at risks and values to both the citizens and to the environment. Next, I had to look how organized was the company and was it prepared to face both demands of environmentally and economically. This automatically ruled out the oil company, this type of business is detrimental to any environment and long range problems i.e. disasters or accidents are something that weighed even heavier on my mind. The distribution plant was based on totality of all circumstances; it had an algorithm for risk reduction to the environment, it brought in jobs so potential for growth was inevitable.

Riverside County is located in the southern part of California. It has a population of over 2 million, making it the 4th most populated county in the state. Since several major highways and railroads intersect here, countless people go in and out of the county on a daily basis. It became a major shipping hub because it is largely comprised of warehousing, shipping, logistics, and retail. Moreover, according to some start-up businesses, the relatively inexpensive real estate and the innovative support networks is what draws them to the county. With all of these said, it can definitely be said that Riverside is a very conducive place for business.
Thank you for providing me with a realistic view of how Cuyahoga can increase their ability to reach the African-American, Hispanic-American, and Asian-American population. I appreciated your thoughts about identifying barriers that affect enrollment for this population. This is where Cuyahoga could implement mentors to help this population of students to transition into their learning environment. This population need to become familiar and feel that they can be part of the learning environment at Cuyahoga; subsequently, this must start during the admission process through their first year of attendance to prevent these students from leaving early.
