Clark & Daughtrey was established in 1949 by Dr. Sam Clark and Dr. John Daughtrey. Currently they offer more than 20 distinct specialties of medicine, and have four locations, two in Lakeland, one in Sebring, and one in Winter Haven. Clark & Daughtrey is nationally accredited for its cardiology, oncology and radiology services. It is also known for its clinical laboratory and Polk Starlight Labs. They merged with Lakeland Regional Health (formerly Lakeland Regional Medical Center) on July 1, 2013.
Lakeland Regional Health is a not-for-profit health system that has an 849 bed Medical Center, and is the fifth largest hospital in the state of Florida. It’s Emergency Department is the busiest single-site in the state. Their five locations are located throughout Lakeland, Florida. This includes a Medical, Cancer, Orthopedics, Sports Rehabilitation Center, and a Surgical and Trauma office.
In an article titled “Hospital Changes Name to Show Broader Focus” dated February 5, 2015 in the Lakeland Ledger, Lakeland Regional Medical Center and Clark & Daughtrey Medical Group officially became Lakeland Regional Health. The new logo groups three people in a pyramid or bouquet shape over the words Lakeland Regional Health. The color of the logo is a deep blue representing the word “health.”
