An agreed set of public goals for our community is that as a whole group we do a lot of community service. For a couple of years my club would go to a nursing home and do different activities with the elderly. Whether it be making them sun catchers to hang in their windows or play board and card games with them. It
I am excited to be one of the candidates for the 2017-2018 National Junior Honor Society. I understand that the National Junior Honor Society is for students who demonstrate exemplary scholarship, citizenship, service, leadership, and character. I believe that I have maintained a grade point average of 3.55 or higher and have shown all of the five given standards of the National Junior Honor Society. I believe that my involvement with the National Junior Honor Society will help me to prepare my future as a leader, character role model, and good citizen.
Overall, I am a devoted and well-rounded student, making me a perfect candidate for National Honor Society. Not only do I posses the four tenets, character, scholarship, leadership and service, but I am also constantly working harder and striving to be better in all four regions. National Honor Society will help me reach my goal in becoming a better student and person. In addition, being a member of National Honor Society will allow me to be an example for other students, just like the members had been for me. In conclusion, I should be a member of National Honor Society because I demonstrate excellence in all four tenets of National Honor Society.

We are working diligently to bring screening services to many area schools. Unfortunately, our name does not reflect the wonderful services that we offer. People that call our office are often looking for charitable services
St. Jude’s target for marketing fundraising is far larger than most charities. Their target; preschoolers, professionals, 8th graders and 80 year olds, television, radio, local drives, school drives, trike-a-thons, math-a-thons, local, county, state and national events. Some of the big ones that you may be familiar with; the “Dream Home Giveaway”, the “Thanks and Giving Campaign” and the radio-a-thon “Country Cares”. In the course of my time at Union County College, I was able to participate in measures that aided my community and those in need. This initiative was made by AESNJ as part of their statewide drive to help those who lack the resources needed to obtain day to day necessities such as hygienic supplies, socks, tissues and other essentials. Additionally, I made a financial contribution which went towards aiding Syrian children. Helping individuals in need encouraged me to participate in Strides against Breast Cancer a walkathon which generated money for women whose lives were impacted by cancer. The financial donations assisted women who were unable
\ First of all, the lions club has helped a lot for me and the community of Groom. The Groom Lions Club Scholarship will help me with my intention of going to Amarillo College to get my Criminal Justice degree and any other courses that I would have to take to be able to join the Amarillo Police Academy. The scholarship money would also help me to pay for any books that I would need for those classes.
