As you may know, Aaron’s is in the process of consolidating several Payroll and Associate Resource function under one new application, DayForce. DayForce is a Ceridian web-based product which consolidates many of the current systems currently in production for Aaron’s including Ceridian Payroll, Kronos, PMP, Benefits, etc. The conversion to the DayForce Payroll is scheduled to begin on July 2018 with full implementation on July 2019. Based on discussions with members of Aaron’s implementation team and DayForce representatives, it has been determined that DayForce WILL NOT be able to replicate the current incentive-based pay in their application. Since the directive from Aaron’s is to centralize on to one application for all these functions,
The facts in this case are that Harvey Pierce ambushed and shot Robin Kerl and her fiancé David Jones in the parking lot of a Madison Wal-Mart where Kerl and Jones worked. Kerl was seriously injured in the shooting, and Jones was killed. Pierce, who was Kerl’s former boyfriend, then shot and killed himself. At the time of the shooting, Pierce was a work-release inmate at the Dane County jail who was employed at a nearby Arby’s restaurant operated by Dennis Rasmussen, INC. The cover up of Miller's death was not alarming to me because that continues to happen in jail or prison daily. The administration just wants to bury the problem instead of taking responisibity for any part in the inmate deaths. There trying to uphold the jails repretutation, bad press is the last thing they need. Red's plan to cover-up Daya's pregnancy was shocking but she knew it could be done. There is supposed to be rules enforce between guards and inmates but it seems like everyone breaks them whenever it's convenient for them.

During the 1930’s people were often biased and would use specific ways to gain power. The most common ways people obtained power were by their race, gender, and class. For instance, during the 1930’s a white, rich man had more power and influence than a black, poor woman. Harper Lee’s book, To Kill A Mockingbird, is filled with different examples of how power is acquired. For example, Mayella Ewell is a white, poor woman who accuses a black man of raping her.
Because my education depends greatly on the MAP grant and other financial aid assistance, I was certainly not hesitant to participate in Lobby Day, an all-day event that takes place inside the capitol at Springfield, IL. Often referred to as “Student Day,” this event allows students from all three U of I campuses—UIC, UIUC, and UIS—to travel to the capitol to lobby and advocate for a budget and funding for the MAP grant. Because this event primarily uses lobbying as their main strategy, many students were actually able to speak and lobby to the senators and representatives of their own districts. Unfortunately, because Lobby Day took place on March 2nd, a day where most of our congressmen and women were scheduled to vote for a budget bill,
The DayForce Implementation Team would like to schedule a visit to the plants in Coolidge and Cairo on June 20 and 21. The purpose of the trip is to review Woodhaven specific procedures and requirements that will need to be addressed in the upcoming DayForce implementation. The discussions could potentially touch on all areas of (1) time collection, (2) payroll, and (3) associate resource activities. Below is a list of some of the items the will be discussed, but by no means is the list all-inclusive.
2.In order to address Dee's vulnerability to situations in which she believes she may be especially vulnerable to problematic beliefs and thought patterns, I would ask her a coping question. I would ask Dee, “What are the positive sources of support you have in your life?”. After receiving Dee's answer to this question, I would suggest to her that she utilizes these sources of support when she feels vulnerable. I would also emphasize to her that these sources of support will help her overcome the stress of dealing with her challenge. I would than ask Dee, “What are some coping mechanisms for you when you are stressed?”. This will help her understand what are her own kinds of best self-care techniques. -

Coming to the University of Nebraska at Omaha, I did not know many people. College was a brand new experience with several opportunities to become involved. The organization, however, that started my involvement on campus was the Honors Student Association. This association opened the door for me to meet new people and assist with activities, not only on campus but around the community. I was able to attend the socials that took place and assist with the Distinguished Scholars Competition because of my involvement in this association. I am applying to become a representative because I want to further my experience and involvement with this great organization. Providing service to other students and community members is a huge part of
In reading the first article Coach Knight: The Will to Win, I found the article found Coach Knight to be very offensive and mean to his players. Coach Knight did not display good leadership skills. According to the article, Coach Knight’s drive and passion for excellence was not always received as well as his record of wins and losses Snook, Per low, Delacey, 2005).
The United States has the highest incarceration rates in the world. According to Attorney General Eric Holder “The U.S. accounts for 5% of the world's population, but 25% of the world’s prisoners”. The United States incarceration rates were not always so drastic. In fact, according to the Sentencing Project, in less than 30 years “The U.S. penal population exploded from around 300,000 to more than 2 million”. The primary contributor to this enormous growth of the prison system is due to The WAR ON DRUGS. Now the question we should be asking: is the war on drugs doing more harm than good?
