and by accepting and receiving a closed school loan discharge, I have no further obligation to repay the loan, and I will receive a reimbursement of payments made voluntarily or through forced collection, and the discharge will be reported to credit bureaus so as to delete any adverse credit history associated with the loan. Also, I have provided three seperate emails from IADT regarding the Direct Stafford Loans that were obtained in my name while I was enrolled. But, the dates and amounts show many inconsistencies. For example the email dated for 05/09/2012 shows were the Stafford Loans were to have been credited to my tuition account in the amount of [$1162.00 & $1990.00] to IADT. But I also found two additional emails with the same information …show more content…
I have no records of ever receiving any refund for books or materials for the semester I attended at IADT, during my enrollment from any of these loans. All funds received in my name from these loans the school kept and never disbursed them to me for purchase of books or any other materials needs for the courses I attended. I have included documentaions for review along with including the credit collection dispute that I won and the day it was removed from my credit report due to these inconsistencies. I would also like to request a copy of my Authorization for Title IV Financil Aid Funds form from International Design Academy of Design & Technology, for my personal records. In closing, I do appreciate the time taken to review my case. I am opptumistic that a positive result can be reached for these loans, with the hopes of being refunded the money which was applied for these loans from my tax return so that I can use them for my two children and family matters, with hopes of being discharged with the possiblitiy of attending an accredited institution to obtain a worthy
If you struggle to keep track of who you owe money to at what time, it's probably time for you to consolidate school loans.
Hopefully, if I am given the benefit of the doubt and the board of the financial aid office contacts my instructor, and hopefully my instructor would vouch that I tried. I never missed class except when I had doctor's appointment and I informed my teacher beforehand if I was going to miss a class. I was also diligent with my homework's and participation. I tried my best and gave the class my all but me failing my exam sealed my faith. Our two exams were worth 50% of my grades and me being a bad exam taker and having the panic attack and running out of my medication before exam week and not being able to get my medication on time, my whole study pattern and exam preparation was thrown out of
In order to be able to afford the future, it is important to understand the amount of loan debt and the possibility for debt forgiveness to be able to proceed through life. This essay seeks to address the question of whether or not student loan forgiveness is currently adequate for assisting graduates in need of financial assistance. The subject of student loan forgiveness tends to warrant strong opinions from many about whether or not they should occur. Student Loans: What They Are, What The Evolution of Student Loans Has Looked Like, and What The Current Policy Is.
With this letter to you, I urge you to please hear me out and help me. I do not have the money to attend UCONN because of my family’s financial situation. The aid I received was a blessing and gave me the opportunity to follow my dreams and make my parents proud. It was the main driving factor for me going to UCONN as I pay for school myself. I had worked all summer and had planned to take whatever the difference was once financial aid was factored in and pay for it with my hard earned money, but now I will not be able to do that because of a miscommunication with my father and my mental illness. If I am granted financial aid, I will do whatever it takes to overcome
We called the bursar's office to discuss the matter and were referred to T R Daley, the financial aid director but she referred me to Sam Wong who referred me to the director of the bursar's office, Tony Carson. After reviewing the facts of the case, Mr. Carson lifted the hold on my son's account but told me he did not have the jurisdiction to waive the charges. He said he would refer the facts to Ms. Daley and organize a conference call with her and me but soon after he stopped answering my calls. Instead, I spoke to Sam Wong who referred me back to Ms. Daley who then referred me back to Mr. Carson's office. So I was forced to contact Ms. Daley again and finally a conference call was set up. However, during the conference call, instead of resolving the situation at hand, Ms. Daley chose to question my son as if to criminalize him about the refund disbursed to him and then abruptly exited the conference shortly thereafter. There was absolutely zero responsibility taken for the mistake that had occurred. Mr. Carson then referred the case to the ombudsman who also provided no solution.
At this time close to six billion dollars in student loan debt falls into the category of loans missing original paperwork. Aggressive creditors continue to fight this controversy in court; actively pursuing students who refuse to pay back their student loan debt. Simply because the original paperwork cannot be located, judges are forced to dismiss numerous lawsuits. When the lawsuit is dismissed this erases the student debt, and the creditor can no longer collect
I am writing to you to explain why I am in immediate and dire need for funds that will assist me in continuing my college education at NAU. As a first generation college student, I have always had to rely on FAFSA and other types of financial aid to continue towards my degree and dream of becoming an educator. However, since I have completed my associates towards my degree in my hometown, half of the journey has already been completed. On the other hand, the other half is about to start, where I need not only more monetary funds to pay for university fees and tuition, but living expenses as well. I will be moving from my hometown to near-campus student housing, where there will be food and room
The fact that I lost all my financial aid until I did the SAP appeal in 2014 but not this time in 2016, and the fact that I owe $4k for the spring semester this time in 2016 but not in 2014. It is a similar situation for both semesters. Therefore, it should be taken care of the same way, at least one would think. It is unfortunate that the U.S. Department of Education was unhelpful, and the only service that was helpful with information, cannot do anything about it.
As I’ve already been accepted into your online program, it has been made aware to me that to complete my financial aid process I must provide for you legal documentation of my parents inability to provide any financial assistance for me. Like most students when I graduated high school I left home to pursue individuality and my own personal goals though me and my parents were in contact and though they were listed on my financial aid worksheet they divided no financial means for me. I transferred to another community college shortly after my first year of attendance at Navarro College, I had moved in with my estranged mother, not only did this volatile relationship put a heavy toll on me mentally but physically as well as I became sick quite
I apologize for missing your call! When you applied, you didn’t provide your Social Security Number, which is needed for your financial aid information. In addition, we don’t have a record where you completed the FAFSA.
Kayla Webley’s article, “Is Forgiving Student Loan Debt a Good Idea? (April 20, 2012)”, asserts that a long look is needed to look at how higher education is financed in the United States. Webley backs this claims by showing how you cannot file bankruptcy to get out from under this
I am writing to you regarding the financial aid package that I received for DePaul. Although I am very grateful for the $13,000 grant that I have received, I am wondering if a reevaluation on my financial aid is possible. Last year, I attended Aurora University. I had no intention of transferring to a different school because Aurora’s financial aid covers all of my tuition, but when I visited DePaul that changed. I went to DePaul a few months ago, with my cousin, because he was graduating from high school and had to pick between a couple of schools and wanted my opinion. After the visit, he was not the only one that was sure that DePaul was the place for him. I became excited about everything that DePaul has to offer and wanted to be a part of a school that’s main goal is preparing their students for their careers and success.
In the summer of 2015, I was enrolled at The University of Phoenix to start the summer program. Due to my mother having a terrible car accident, I pushed back my enrollment date since the car accident left my mother unable to walk. Not only that, I was left with the responsibility and care of my two younger siblings who have cerebral palsy. I called and talked with admissions and they pushed back the date for me to start school, after a couple of weeks passed I received a call from the school telling me I would loose my funding for school and it was important that I started on the next starting date. The following start date arrived and I started school every week I received a call from a adviser if I didn’t sign on to
