Company Overview Google Inc. is an U.S. based multinational public corporation that operates primarily in the internet search function, cloud computing, as well as a range of different advertising solutions. Google also hosts and develops a large number of services and products that are part of a larger suite of Google products. These products are offered for free to the end users and Google primarily generates the company's revenue stream from advertising. Google has grown from modest roots to become one of the most admired companies in the world today. The company was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin who have often been referred to as the "Google Guys". These two individuals began work on algorithms and search technologies while the two were attending Stanford University as Ph.D. candidates. The company was first formed as a privately held company in 1998 and then later became a public corporation after its initial public offering on August 19, 2004. During the public offering, the company's main executive management members, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Eric Schmidt, announced that they all agreed to work together at Google in their management functions for twenty years and would resign in 2024.
