Kiddle, a new search engine geared towards children has outraged the LGBT community by censoring certain words. Terms like "transgender" and "bisexual" are blocked from users as they are deemed inappropriate. It should be noted that while Kiddle uses the same technology, it is not affiliated with Google. LGBT COMMUNITY UNDER COMMUNIST LIKE CENSORSHIP Using Google's technology, Kiddle allows users to search in a custom search bar. The intention of this is to keep children safe. Safe from what exactly? To Kiddle, blocking words that are related to the LGBT community will keep kids from stumbling upon adult related content. However, what they are really doing is censoring children from potentially educational content. In addition, this "Google

3. Variable cost per unit will be reduced from $25 to $18.80. A total of 1,000,000 units will still be sold. The reduction in variable costs per unit is a direct result of the increased fixed costs and the associated automation.
For years now, censoring has been limiting the public’s freedom in literature, films, media, and plenty of other categories. A big section being censored today, that troubles a lot of people, is children’s literature. Books are the most common thing to be censored, especially children’s. They continue to ban books across the world, meant to be enjoyed, for reasons they call valid. A popular excuse for banning books is the diversity displayed in them. According to “How Banning Books Marginalizes Children”, 52% of the books banned in the last 10 years were called “diverse context”
Mark volunteered to help with the community arts festival; he was supporting the not-for-profit organization as he had in the past. However, he did not know his good intentions as a volunteer would cost him his job as an assistant manager. The retail store’s phone number was printed in the festival advertising in error and ticket requests overloaded the phone lines, causing loss of business and annoyed the store manager. As a result, Mark was seen as the cause of the problems and terminated.
When a district agrees to pull books featuring gay characters because it is ‘explicit’, it furthers the misconception that homosexulality is inherently sexual, and can make youth feel as if they are wrong for being attracted to the same gender. According to a study by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) (LGBTQ Right to Read Resource Guide, 2013), same-sex attraction can occur as young as age eight. If young children are not allowed to see characters like them, it can stunt their ability to accept their identity. As Justin Richardson, author of a commonly challenged book And Tango Makes Three said: “Many feel it’s inappropriate to talk about homosexuality because they think they’re talking about sex… A 4-year old doesn’t have the same associations between homosexuality and sex. They take things very literally. You can just tell them that sometimes a man falls in love with another man. That’s all you need to say.” (LGBTQ Right to Read Resource Guide, 2013) In short, banning books is harmful to lesbian and gay
In “We must celebrate gender and sexual diversity in our schools” published in The Conversation, February 16 2016, Lucy Nicholas argues that the current commentary on the LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) community against schools and the SSC (Safe Schools Coalition) is extremely out of touch. Many of youths already understand their sexuality, whether it be heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual.
Children and teens all around the world are being bullied because of their sexual preferences. At the young age of 2 or 3, children start to realize who they are, whether they are male or female. As they get a little older, they get a sense of what is right and what is
Children’s innocence must be protected by censorship. The debate on whether censorship is beneficial to society often compiles to a few main reasons. Subjects like freedom of speech, women’s rights, and children’s innocence is brought into question when discussing censorship. It is an important debate because what is censored influences societal beliefs of what is right and wrong. It decides what truths are revealed publicly. Some people think censorship is beneficial because it supposedly protects children, but it is actually useless because it underestimates children’s tolerance, witholds information, oversexualizes women, and sugarcoats the truth.
The common image that comes to mind on the topic of censorship is that of book burning. Dating back to ancient times, the easiest way to deal with unwanted writings has been to get rid of them, usually by heaping them into a blazing pyre. In his most famous science fiction novel, Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury warns of a futuristic society where all literature is destroyed under a kerosene flame and the citizens' freedoms are kept in check by the lack of written information. In fear of this kind of totalitarianism, many bibliophiles have fought against all manners of censorship, wielding the first amendment and the rights recognized by our fore-fathers. But with the technological advances of this the
