Company Background ● ABB is a multinational corporation headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. It operates mainly in robotics and the power and automation areas. ● It is one of the largest engineering companies in the world. ● It operates in around 100 countries, with approximately 150,000 employees in November 2013. ● ABB was first incorporated in India in 1949 and today it has offices all over the country, with its head office in Bangalore, employing over 10000 employees. ● ABB India works with a multiple of projects and fixed manufacturing simultaneously. ● The level of number of employees will vary with the current operations and will be widely differing in terms of type of job and employees that they need. ● At ABB India, they …show more content…

● Phase 3 - Graduate Assessment Center ○ The graduate assessment center is the ABB Human Resource Center as mentioned above. ○ The shortlisted candidates are called to the center for a day long process. ○ The talent acquisition team of ABB conducts these rounds. ○ All 3 rounds are conducted on the same day. ○ All the shortlisted candidates must sit through all the three rounds in this phase and a cumulative score is used for evaluation. ○ Behavioral Interview ■ This technique is used to identify the skills necessary for a management trainee. ■ They ask 20 pre defined probing questions and the HR writes the answers given by the candidate on a defined document. ■ The questions stretch from your previous decision making skills to team dynamics. ■ This is a one on one interview. ○ Presentation ■ A real time case study is given to the candidates and they are given half an hour to come up with a solution. ■ They are given a chart paper and few pens to illustrate their solution. ■ Then the candidates present their case to two HRs of talent acquisition team. ○ Group Discussion ■ A generic topic is given to a group of 6 to 8 …show more content…
