Alex Sander is the project manager at Landon Care Products, Inc. Alex is smart. Alex is self-driven. Alex needs to learn to be a cause for good effect at work. Alex needs to develop interpersonal skills if he is going to be the most effective manager he can be. In order to be that manager, he needs to lead through motivation and example attitude. In order to motivate others, Alex needs to be positive and upbeat. be able learn to relate to others connect with people on an emotional level. Alex himself is effective and efficient, but his impact on others greatly affects the environment of the whole organization. He needs to realize how much of an emotional stress he puts on others because of his attitude. Emotional contagion is the process by which peoples’ emotions are caused by the emotions of others (Robbins & Judge, 2009). Especially in a manager’s position, Alex has so much influence on his co-workers, and the mood he carries at work is a huge problem. Glass realizes the negative effect Alex is imposes. How is Glass going to get Alex to understand that his emotions and moods affect his leadership, motivation and the job attitudes of others? Because Alex is a narcissist and a Mach, it’s going to be a challenge to get Alex to admit weakness, especially at work where he believes he thrives in every aspect.
