The Rio Grande Valley (RGV) is growing economically. There has been an increase in new businesses, especially in cities like McAllen, Edinburg, and Pharr. Enrique challenges, which the undocumented people don’t have same human right. When Enrique was with his four friends in the motel the police came and arrested them all. He says, “At least 5100 of those children ended up in foster care.”(210)This quote shows in the United states on undocumented parent is poor to rest the children. If they are have same human right then they can with the children together. In addition when many migrant who first set out the train with Enrique have been caught and deported. Nazario write, “As Enrique slowly recovers from his beating.”(87) This quote shows that Enrique has been robbed on the train by gangs, and has been physically harmed. Since Enrique is undocumented, the police don’t help him because they will want to send Enrique back to Honduras. Through Enrique,Nazario
In order to recreate scenes, Nazario spent six months retracing Enrique’s steps from Honduras to North Carolina. She experienced almost everything he did, from riding on tops of freight trains to hitchhiking with truckers. By making the same journey as Enrique,
Boca Grande, Florida (33921) has a population of 1,230. Boca Grande is a small town located on the west coast of Florida. The second you get off the plane you can smell the salty waters and fruity smoothies. The dry air and glaring sun on your skin brings me the feeling of warmth and happiness. The bright green palm tree leaves rustling in the wind providing slight shade from the bright golden sun. The sand if full of shells, that with one wrong step will slice your foot. Making your journey down to the water not comfortable. The water is so still in the morning it looks like a painting. Even when it's seventy-five degrees outside the water is still as clear as glass. It’s cold at first, but after you dive under like a dolphin once or twice
Mount Carmel On the day of April 19, 1993, at the Mount Carmel Compound in Waco Texas, an inferno of flames broke out after a 51 day siege on the Branch Davidians cult group. A total of 92 lives were lost during the fire, as well as many more during the previous 51 days. Many speculations arose whether the compound being incinerated was set by the FBI in a final attempt to make the Davidians leave the compound, and end the million dollar siege once and for all, or if it was a mass suicide conducted by David Koresh, the leader of the Branch Davidians. Of course, this will always remain a mystery, because almost 100 of the members refused to leave the building, leaving it to be a national tragedy, and unclosed case of who did it.

A Child’s Longing for Mercy In June of 2014, Vice President Joe Biden met with leaders from Central American countries including Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Mexico “to help highlight warnings about the dangers of crossing Mexico and the United States border, as well as the futility of trying to obtain legal status without a proper visa.”(Archibold) The number of unaccompanied children migrating to the United States continues to steadily increase since its initial boom in the late 1990’s. Highlighted in the 2006 biographical piece, Enrique’s Journey by Sonia Nazario, the author writes to express the dangers not just at the U.S.-Mexican border, but rather from Central American countries throughout Mexico itself to get to the borderline.

Enrique’s expedition was a deadly pathway for most immigrants with similar interests; children, young and old are most likely to have their arms and legs severed or even die before they could see their mothers again. For enrique, dangers lurked in the form of gangsters, bandits, police offices and La Migra. They rob and rape innocents, stripping them of anything valuable, even their mother’s numbers.Enrique endured the beatings of a gangster, which left him with a permanent drooped left eye; he suffered several injuries that he wished he was caught by the officials, ending the torture. After several failures, Enrique’s eighth attempt to cross borders became successful; he reached Nuevo laredo, close to the U.S territory. Along the way, he met friends, foes and kind people whose offering aided his journey; he worked small jobs to earn money for food and bandits, if they threaten to kill
The Pecos river is an amazing kayaking trip that really puts the individual in the center of nature. It is roughly 900 miles long and is “one of the major tributaries of the Rio Grande (Pecos).” The Pecos River was home to the Pecos Pueblo Indians and they left behind a variety of different artwork (Pecos). These pieces of art range from pots to pictographs and petroglyphs that can be located in a variety of places along the river. However, there has been an increase in human activity that has caused some of the pieces of artwork to be damaged or fully destroyed. One of the most popular places to find petroglyphs is along the Lewis Canyon. There are roughly thousands of petroglyphs that the ancient Indian tribes would carve into the stone but, since the rise in the human levels, I have noticed people trying to impersonate some of these images and also leave trash around that area. Therefore, I believe that it would be best to have someone go out there every week to pick up the trash and to also look after this place because there is history that surrounds the Pecos River.
OTHER BUSINESS: Commissioner Everett referred to the last Commissioner’s meeting discussion regarding Harcatus Tri County Community Action’s request for the use of three parking spaces in the Fair Avenue parking lot. Commissioner Everett has spoken with Jane Clay, Executive Assistant/Park Coordinator and Ms. Clay believes the parking lot is probably full. Commissioner Everett said the county needs to resolve the issue of the four spaces formerly used by Tischbein State Farm before they can proceed with the request from Harcatus. Commissioner Everett asked if there is a list of county employees that park in the Fair Avenue lot. Commissioner Abbuhl said the county employees have a choice of which lot (Fair or Front Ave.) they park in. There are not assigned spots for county employees, but Ms. Clay said there are several spots assigned for county departmental use. Commissioner Everett would like an inventory of how many spaces the county has in both lots and how many spaces are used by county
Graham Texas a small rural town peaceful and calm. One reason for this is because our community is a dry community. This meaning that alcohol is not allowed to be sold in graham. This problem really infuriates people of this town the fact that they have to drive out to another town just for some alcohol. I understand where they are coming from they are having to use more gas to get some beer. Instead of it just being sold hear and saving money for themselves. Is it really worth it though if they are so infuriated by using their gas just don’t get beer then.
Water in Big Bend National Park There are five rivers in Big Bend National Park: Rio Grande, Santa Elena Canyon, Mariscal Canyon, Boquillas Canyon, and Lower Canyons (NPS). The biggest one is the Rio Grande; which is best known as “Rio Bravo.” This river is located in Brewster County between Mexico and United State border (N.p., n.d. Web.). The Rio Grande has a problem with a lacking of water, which increased the potential for water quality degradation and toxic chemical contamination; the cause of this problem it’s because of the growth of maquiladora plants (N.p., n.d. Web.). The Rio Grande doesn’t affect the park, but basically, the researchers believe that the river upstream was affected by the park. In Big Bend National Park, researchers

Canyon Ranch’s strategy should include the full integration of the CLS and Guestware systems to give the managers on duty access to consolidated information so they can take any required actions immediately. POS software should be installed in the restaurants and salons. They should also consider online options for customer bookings and completion of health questionnaires. Customers should be able to book an entire stay online, chat with a customer representative online, as well as complete then submit their health questionnaires online if they opt to.
