Christ sacrifice signifies an efficacy to all other sacrifices and his death is essential to the work of salvation. Also, Jesus gave his own life whole heartily, so that we may have a second chance in life. Secondly, the victor is Christ. Christ has won the struggle with the devil and he has triumphed over the temptations of this world. Thus, even though sin, evil and death still abound in our world Christ has been raised from the dead and that is a promise that we will be made alive in Christ. Lastly, the metaphor of the ransom is a theme that is widely spread in the New Testament. One can understand the metaphor used here is actually the Justice of God by paying our ransom to free us from sin and death (a gift).
"The greatest sacrifice is when you sacrifice your own happiness for the sake off someone else." This quote by Julandi Scholtze is a great representation of sacrifice because sacrifice is putting someones needs in front of your own needs. It is very important to sacrifice for someone. For Example, if it is a grandma that could die any day and she asked you awhile she needed your help and you haven't done it still you are not very sacrificial.

“A Tale of Two Cities” by Charles Dickens is about the French Revolution and the lives of some of the people who get caught up in it. It takes places over 17 years from 1775 to 1792 with flashbacks going back even further. It shows the injustice leading to the Revolution and the consequences. It is also in many ways a Christian allegory about sacrifice and spiritual redemption. The book starts in 1775, and Jarvis Lorry, a businessman, is on his way to reunite Lucie Manette and her father, Dr. Manette, who has been in prison in the Bastille for the last 18 years. Although Dr. Manette first appears to be a little ‘off’ after his time in prison, Lucie’s love brings him back to himself.

How easily we dismiss this decision as "no big deal".

Marriage should be based on true love, trust, and honesty. Those are just some of the things needed for two people to get married. Unfortunately these were things that Mrs. Mallard (Louise) and Mr. Mallard lacked in their marriage and their relationship. In the story of an Hour Mrs. Mallard receives terrible news about her husbands death, or so everyone thought. However, instead of feeling sad and miserable about it, she uses those exact words “Free! Body and soul free”. Usually when someone dies, people feel sad, especially if they were close to the deceased or they were married. But Mrs. Mallard was happy that her husband died and is no longer with her. Was she justified to feel the way she did after her husband’s death? Absolutely not.
