Saint Andrew School offers many things to our community. Within the community, many friendships are made. Through our service projects and CYO activities, we are enabled to meet many who aren’t included with our school. Some service our community performs are, food drives, 100 Wheels, letters to veterans, and Operation Santa Claus. With 100 Wheels, which is my personal favorite, students get chosen by random to participate in a bike build, which all go to unfortunate kids in the area. Operation Santa Claus gives parishioners the chance to participate in service by picking a gift written on a paper hanging on a christmas tree in the church. Some sports offered here are, Basketball, Track/Cross Country, Soccer, and Softball. With our athletics

I performed my field experience at Chiefland Elementary. Chiefland is a very small town with the population of six thousand. There are over eight hundred students enrolled at Chiefland Elementary. There are fifty-two instructional staff members and two administers. In those fifty-two staff members, there is one African American teacher and one male teacher; the rest are women. This is a white dominate school. In the school there is 73% Caucasian students, 17% African American students, and 4% Hispanic students. There is only 3% of students that are ESOL and 5% are Gifted and Talented. This semester we learned that in small areas and with low income schools, there are more Hispanics and African American people. In this case, Chiefland Elementary
In the fall of 1980, the Congregation of Calvery Community Church, led by Pastor Dr. Carl Godwin, founded Parkview Christian School. Under the leadership of Bob Winebarger, the school began as a Kindergarten through eighth grade school. “Those were glorious days, Winebarger relates, “as we saw God’s hand moving to provide a Christian School to the residents of North Lincoln. Within two years of opening, the school expanded and began to offer a K-12 academic program. Continuing to expand to minister to families in Lincoln, a preschool and daycare were opened in the fall of 1991. Parkview Christian Schools now operates three separate locations for preschool and daycare for young children. A few years ago, Parkview Christian School stepped out from the umbrella of the church and became a separate non-profit entity.
According to a recent Travelers survey, identify theft, cyber security, and person privacy rank as the top concerns for most Americans. Forty percent of individuals who participated in the survey believe they were a victim to one of these heinous crimes (Survey: Cyber Risk, 2015). Companies are focusing attention on this topic and investing vast resources to combating these crimes. Questions arise regarding TJX’s role and responsibility to apprise stakeholders of a data breach. In 2008, TJX found themselves in the unenviable position of needing to address these questions and concerns. This paper explores TJX response to compliance problems, utilization of strategy, influence response and decision-making has on the stakeholders and corporate brand, and the possible effects on TJX.
County Prep high school has always had my interest. With all it has to offer, I’ve decided to make it my high school of choice for several reasons. There are things like the extracurricular activities they offer, the amount of AP courses they have. They are also offering vocational programs and LEAP courses. County Prep gives me the resources I will need to
Mr. Diaz is currently the assistant principal at John C. Fremont High School located 7676 S San Pedro St, Los Angeles, CA 90003. However, before becoming an assistant principal, Mr. Diaz was a guidance counselor also at Fremont High School. When asked about the high crime rate and heavy gang presence in the Florence-Firestone area, Mr. Diaz stated that the lack of positive role models and the needed guidance is to blame for heavily gang involvement in this area. Many of these young teens lack the necessary confidence in them to avoid peer pressure to get the best out of them. As a result, they become a product of their environment because they do not believe they can be someone else beside a gang member. However, “we as a school have implemented

The way the situation with the closing of the school was handled was extremely unprofessional and left teachers, students and parents feeling a sense of betrayal and frustration. The entire thing was much unorganized. Freeman-Brown Preparatory School did not communicate with parents of the students attending this school. The faculty had no knowledge of what was really going on; they were not aware of how bad the situation really was and that they were also going to lose their jobs. Freeman-Brown chose to keep everyone of out what was going on financially in the school. The financial issues affected everyone mainly the shareholders, they should have made them away of what was happening with registrations, finances, location and enrollment, with

I loved the approach taken by Ms. Barbara Gruener at Westwood Elementary located in Texas. In any number-step program, e.g. 5 step, 10 step, or 12 step, they always say that admitting to fault or acknowledging the problem is the first step. Barbara was fully aware of the daily struggles within Westwood’s community (“Character.org,” n.d.). To begin to solve the deep-rooted problem, she discreetly sought out help (“Character.org,” n.d). Since the faculty was divided, it was difficult to get them involved and create unity at the school. Westwood Elementary bases their learning on the concepts of performance character. I chose performance character because of the disruptive student behavior and the lack of sufficient grades held by each student. Barbara Gruener was determined to help each member of Westwood Elementary.
“It is wonderful to see so much interest in Saint Mark’s High School this year. We look forward to continuing our history as the flagship diocesan high school!” –Richard A. Bayhan, Principal
Mrs. Smith is an 8th grade English teacher at Holdrum Middle School, in Pikesville, MD. She is an excellent, dedicated teacher committed to her school and her students. One day during her last class of the day she was busy working with a group of students facing the back of the class. When the bell rang to leave, students grabbed their belongings as usual and walked out of the classroom. Mrs. Smith noticed Jose Morales, a child new to the school, left the classroom very fast without a word. This was unusual for him. A little later, when packing up her materials to leave, Mrs. Smith realized that her school-issued digital tablet was missing. She remembered seeing it the previous class, so it must have been stolen during the last
