The Arrival of our New CTO Around the end of July, Ximena comes to us and asks if we would be alright with moving to the sales room. We did not mind, but we asked why we had to move and that is when she told us Phone2Action’s new CTO would be starting in a few days and they want him across from Andy, The Vice President of Product and in front of the Engineers. Which was exactly where we were located. We made the move without a fuss and eventually Charleston, my new boss showed up. Ximena hosted a breakfast meet and greet where Charleston introduced himself to everyone at the company. After that day I did not see much of Charleston for a while. I was focused on my project as it was coming along nicely. Charleston moved quickly and …show more content…
Each team was given “buckets” a list of Jira tickets that addressed final bugs and tasks that the Engineering team still needed to address. After the ticket was completed it was the Engineers job who took the ticket to refactor the code surrounding that bug or task. Some tickets were kill tickets, features that exist on the platform that were no longer used that should be removed entirely. Everyone’s job was the same besides the Engineer that was rotated out to assist the Customer Service team, but besides that I felt like part of the team during this time which ultimately would end my summer at Phone2Action. When you completed a ticket, your code still needed to be tested and reviewed. Since Luke was always so busy, I started requesting code reviews from whoever was available. Even when I made a mistake the other Engineers helped me learn without doing any work for me. We got through the war room tickets extremely fast and the rest of the allocated weeks was spent refactoring by the main Engineers. Leaving me to pick up my biggest ticket. John Kelly's review of my code in GitHub Yumi approving my code and merging it into the development branch Grant, our graphic designer got the final say on how minor visuals on the platform looked and felt, and he had a pretty good eye for it. He saw I previously worked on a ticket fixing a bug with images not deleting when told and asked for my help. Since I had experience with the code
Implementing immunizations into the clinics can be challenging for the facility and the staff. There are several methods that have been implemented to monitor the methods used by the staff to give the immunizations to the patients in the clinics. There have been several obstacles and challenges that the staff and leaders have faced. As with any changes that take place in patient care within an organization methods must be set up to monitor those changes. Changes promote challenges not just to staff leaders but the organization as a whole. Communication with any changes can be challenging for
In Energetics meets Generex negotiation, I was acting as a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Energetics Corporation and my opponent and my classmate Chace Eskam was acting as a COO of Generex Corporation. In this deal, as a COO I was supposed to sell the Wind energy division of the Energetics to Generex. Energetics Corporation was in desperate need of cash due to bankruptcy. Another hurdle was that I could not sell three different locations of Wind plants individually. My company needed cash within three months with no additional terms added to this deal. My another best alternative was to sell all the assets of Wind Energy division to generate some cash if deal with Generex fails in this negotiation. Our negotiation went on for 15-20 minutes during class time and deal was set in $247 millions. My opponent Chace was very tough in this negotiation to deal. He was very prepared with facts and numbers before he came to the table. My opponent asked me lot questions such as the depreciation of the property, equipment’s life, taxes etc. After having lot of discussion we ultimately came to the conclusion that Generex will pay Energetics $247 million right away in cash to purchase Wind Energy division from Energetics.
The most important leadership hat of the president is the Chief Executive Hat or power. In respect to this hat, the president of the United States has the power to enforce laws of the United States, create policies, appoint federal judges, and fires or hire officials or representatives within the executive branch. This hat is important because it enables the president to make decisions that help maintain the economic stability as well as the political stability of the country. For instance, by enforcing laws and appointing federal judges, the president is able to make decisions that help maintain stability within the United States. In turn, this enables economic indicators such as businesses to flourish efficiently.
JIRA software product is used for issue tracking, bug tracking and project management functions for Agile projects. The main features of JIRA are that it allows us to plan development iterations, bug tracking and the iteration reports functionality [1]. JIRA allows us to prioritize, assign, track, report and audit our issues, ranging from software bugs and hardware defects to change and improvement requests [3]. It allows us to monitor the progress of our issues with charts and graphs.

Once an employee attends New Hire Onboarding and the manager has requested the new employee to become registered with NMLS due to the job responsibilities including originating mortgage loans, the following steps must be completed:
One of the main challenges the new chief would be facing is the response of “Because that’s the way we’ve always done it. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?” It poses as an extremely difficult hurtle when it comes to changing the way things are done and implementing important changes. Another challenge is the fact that perception is not always reality. Crime reports might be low but it doesn’t mean everything is working as it should be. On the flip side, the media can paint an inaccurate picture of crime and society generating fear. .

Sajini Thomas met with us to educate us in the coding, coverage and payment rules for the code that was appropriate for our product. They assisted in the complete, thorough and detailed applications that provided the payer all the information that was required to make an appropriate coding decision. We also consulted on whether it would be best to meet with the review board and decided it wasn’t necessary due to the thoroughness of our application. As a result we were able to obtain the appropriate code we applied for in a timely manner.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your concerns regarding the recent CCO Supervisor (16-608CP) promotional process.
The design was approved by all who saw, and thought it was a great upgrade from the previous stock. Upon receiving the news that we had the green-light on the design, myself and Chris finalized the margins and began talk with a gentleman by the name of Steven Herren from InGate Solutions which is a ticket printing company based out of Muncie,
kept a somewhat level head through all of it and managed the engineers and other people
In the documentation phase of the New Leader Integration the consultant takes all the data obtained from the interviews and he creates a document that will be the new leaders “blue print for success” (Burroughs, 2011). The length and breadth of the document will differ based on the amount of information contained within the document. The information will be given to the new leader before he begins work and the document will have the designation of “Confidential” (Burroughs, 2011). This level of security is used to ensure the privacy of all parties who provided information. In addition, only two copies of the document will be printed, one for the new leader and one for the consultant to use in the follow-up step. The new leader will read the entire document taking particular interest in how the organization views success.

Once our competence was acknowledged we were brought in to also help with Jira tickets. Not yet on the sprint team but our code would be directly affecting the Phone2Action platform. It was intimidating to say the least. Since we were going to be programming on the platform we had to learn to use a lot more applications and dependency managers like gulp, yarn, composer, and NPM to name a few, using terminal commands to manage dependencies and keep them updated. Phone2Action had many checks and balances when it came to platform code. The Engineers used Tower and Beanstalk for source control and code reviews, later moving to git-hub after our new CTO started. Once you finished and tested your code and got the results your Jira ticket
