People have been debating over this topic for a long time. There are two good sides with reasons if the United States should have joined the World War II. In my opinion, the United States should have joined the World War II because the United States was being invaded by the Nazi because they were mad at America. The Nazi were also trying to rule all of Germany and we couldn't let that go and let them win right after they bombed the United States. This is why we should of joined World War II.

When a law enforcement officer or other public employee is accused of potentially criminal conduct, they may face three different kinds of interviews or interrogations. If an officer is interviewed as a criminal suspect, they have the absolute right to decline to answer any questions, or to insist that they have a lawyer of their choosing to attend the interview. The first is type is during a criminal investigation; the second is during a disciplinary investigation and finally during the course of civil litigation where there has been damages. During a criminal interview, there is no professional, ethical or moral duty to participate especially without the assistance of an attorney to represent the officer under investigation. It has come to a surprise that many experienced officers will waive their right to silence and give the investigators an audio recorded statement. Some of the inexperienced criminals do not make incriminating statements. The motive for cooperation is to avoid unfavorable publicity.

The trial court erred and abused its discretion in granting the State’s motion to admit evidence of prior uncharged incidents of domestic violence, because the evidence denied Mr. Davis of his rights to due process of law as guaranteed by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution, and Article I, Section 10 of the Missouri Constitution, in that the evidence was more prejudicial than probative because it was too remote in time to be relevant to the charged crimes and had a prejudicial effect.
One problem with “the right to a speedy and public trial” is it’s not always a guarantee. For example, a man named Ralph Barry in the state of New York was accused of murder. Witnesses identified Barry in a lineup, which was weirdly enough to arrest him. The defendants in the state of New York generally may have to wait up to 180 days before facing trial. On the other hand, a defendant that is facing a felony charges could wait up to 1,018 days in Bronx, New York. Long story short, Barry was offered a plea deal, but Ralph was confident that he was innocent. In addition, Ralph had to stay in Riker’s Island jail for up to three years and additionally appeared in court 20 different
In this case study, I will explore the concept of stare decisis and wherether it is in exorable command. I will be explaining what the court means when it say that” stare decisis is not an inexorable command”. Also what it would mean for the American system of criminal justice, if stare decisis actually was “inexorable command”.
The rational decision-making model describes a series of steps that decision makers should consider if their goal is to maximize the quality of their outcome. In other words, if you want to make sure that you make the best choice, going through the formal steps of the rational decision-making model may make sense. The following are the steps taken to come to a rational decision: 1. Identify the problem, 2. Establish decision criteria, 3. Weigh decision criteria, 4. Generate alternatives, 5. Evaluate the alternative, 6. Choose the best alternative, 7. Implement the decision, 8. Evaluate the decision.
For the mock trial I was assigned to be one of the prosecuting attorneys. After being presented with case materials which included facts of the case, statements from both prosecuting and defense witnesses, penal code for the alleged charges, and map of the crime scene, we as a group decided to create one Google Drive document. There we would upload our parts of the case and help other group members with their assignments.
Solomon Northup and Frederick Douglass, both living in the South during the eighteen hundreds, were just two of the countless black people that experienced the many horrors of slavery. Although the two of them did not share the exact same story, they lived very similar and dreadful lives as slaves. Solomon and Fredrick where both assigned physically brutal work, they both had their freedom and identity taken from them, and they were also both leaders in their community.
Characterization is a vital component of a text. How does Shakespeare utilise character traits to demonstrate characters as either heroes or villains?
The “Thirteen Days” movie describes how the 35th president of United States of America (USA), John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) dealt with the Cuban Missile Crisis during the period of October 14-28, 1963. It shows how JFK’s leadership saved the world from having World War III (WWIII), or worse, Nuclear War. JFK’s crisis management and decision-making skills was tested during this period. He was under an extreme pressure, having the Cuban missiles were about to be ready to become operational and most of his Generals suggested him to launch a military strike, while he didn’t want to start a war and prefer to avoid one. To make things worse, the Joint Chiefs, who most of them were older than JFK, pressurized
Most decisions are made with analysis, but some are judgment calls not susceptible to analysis due to time or information constraints. Please write about a judgment call you’ve made recently that couldn’t be analyzed. It can be a big or small one, but should focus on a business issue. What was the situation, the alternatives you considered and evaluated, and your decision making process? Be sure to explain why you chose the alternative you did relative to others considered.
