I am seeking a dietetic internship at California State University Fresno, to continue my journey in dietetics. At first, obtaining a college education meant more than just assuring a better future but breaking the chain in a long line of poverty and illiteracy. I am writing to apply for a dietetic intern position at the Mount Mary College. After researching the entire dietetic internship (DI) programs on the Internet, I became very interested in pursuing a position in your dietetic internship. I am confident that it will provide me with a wide variety of practical hands-on experience and the valuable didactic training I need to be successful for my career goals. If given the opportunity, I am highly motivated to successfully complete the internship program and achieve my goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian (RD).

On Thursday, July 27,2017 I attended clinical at the Golden Valley Medical Clinic in Clinton. I learned several tasks that take place in a clinic along with the many roles that are played at one desk. As an LPN in the clinic, there are many roles that take place. The LPN is responsible for assisting the patient from the waiting area into a patient examination room, obtaining current vital signs along with weight and height, ordering lab work and x-rays, handling referrals to and from the clinic, instructing patients on current and new medications, giving injections, and setting up and assisting the doctor with procedures. The Clinic currently accepts any patients ranging from infants through the elderly.

John peter smith (JPS) is a Tarrant county hospital in the forth worth area. It is named after a former mayor, who in 1877 reserved a five-acre land for future construction of a hospital that would serve the residence of the area. JPS health network as it is also known comprises of 52 hospitals and clinics. It also employs over 9000 staff in the Tarrant county. JPS has 573 licensed beds in the hospitals and clinic around the Tarrant county and forth worth area.

Twin Cities Community Hospital is located in Templeton, CA. At Twin Cities, they always make time for their Retail Rally every day. Mary Shalhoub, the director, focuses a lot on staff engagement, she set up a game for the staff during their retail rally, and share yesterday sales and ask for predictions, the closest one to the prediction, gets something from the café. During retail she allows the staff to sample the specials, doing this allows the staff to have personal insight on each special to help inform the guest.

From a previous visit and learning more about the city from a friend growing up there, I have developed a strong interest in Philadelphia.
