This particular article discusses different subjects of globalization through it relevant dynamics. Such as: the collapse of time and space, migration and urbanization, wealth creation and distribution, transformation of global media, trade and consumption and transformation of value. The article is meant to bring more clarification to the nature of the notion
I am the type of person that can turn nothing into something and then make it into something that nobody else has done. Creativity has many pros and cons that I know every artist experience very often, in fact, I have experienced theses challenges throughout my many years of being a free-lance artist. One of the many negatives about being creative is that, people will take things out of context along with taking things that you have created without giving you any credit, which is not fair to anyone. I am a firm believer in that, the world is your canvas because I am the type of person that can walk around my city, which is Philadelphia, and I can write down my ideas while I'm on the subway or train and then make my work come to life while I am at home or in
Creativity drives today’s world, with new technology arriving daily and science conducting itself further. We need creative and imaginative people in today’s atmosphere to bring the world to the next step forward. “Standardized college admissions tests assess only analytical skills, as well as the knowledge base on which they act, and completely ignore creative and practical skills (Sternberg 7)”. Without creative people in this world, where do you think we would be? Not very far. We need practical skills to go throughout everyday life. The standardized tests don’t test for that knowledge base, they test how much short term memory a
S. I. Hayakawa wrote and published an article named "What lt Means to Be Creative". This article challenged how a creative person could be defined and identified. In Hayakawa’s essay he presents several points of view an individual could be characterized as being creative. His writing forces you to contemplate on how a person’s aptitudes are categorized. Hayakawa tests your ability to be opened minded and makes you visualize how a person could be described as a creative individual but may discredited themselves due to society’s standard of this word. After reading his writing, I believe I can summarize his analogy.
In order for children to be creative the environment and the experiences they are exposed to will determine their creative learning and creativity. This is closely linked with cultural approaches and role modelling.
Casey Brown has always wanted to be a dancer. When she was little, she took dance classes once a week every Tuesday. Casey loved it and rocked the stage every year at the dance recitals at the Williamstown High School. As she got older, she took a break from dance but came back after a few short years. She took a modern class and her teacher would always tell her to take a ballet class. So the next year, Casey signed up for ballet. Right away her teacher noticed that something about her.
Burstein describes one of the lessons to creativity is through experience. In her TED talk, she outlines the
Creativity is all about the 21st century skills and the future students. One form of creativity they will use is brainstorming. It includes elaborating, analyzing refining, and evaluating ideas to improve and maximize creative efforts (Syrett, 2002). Creativity involves originality, and working with peers to come up with ideas. It will allow you to fail and work on what went wrong and recreate it. They will have the tools that are needed to be creative. Creativity is an important aspect for every student to
The word creative sums up my friend Sydnie perfectly she does everything on her own, she is always looking for ways to express her creative ability, and she is always using what she has learned in any way possible. From doing everything on her own to writing her own novel my friend Sydnie is one creative girl. The day that Sydnie stops being creative I will find it common sense to call 911. Sydnie has shown me that those who are creative are the ones that are running the
Last exemplar showing creativity was the world wide web. The inventor Tim Berners-Lee, when inventing the WWW, changed the way we communicate, the way we socialise, the way we do research, the way we learn and many other things. This shows creativity, as this one computer network has changed the way of life, and potentially have made things easier. The obvious advantage of the WWW is that every website you can think of is found though this computer system, thus can’t really compare to any website, as if there was no WWW, then these websites would not be existent. Though there could be some negatives such as wrong information, and other factors, the WWW shows creativity because, creativity is about making people see things in different ways,
One person I am really inspired by is my English teacher Mrs. Henley. It has only been a month since I started 7th grade and I already feel that my writing has improved. She has given us lots of tips on reading and writing. I have always really enjoyed reading but now I love it even more.I started reading the book Harry Potter a week after school started. It is a very extraordinary book but I think I am enjoying it more because of all of the skills I have learned from Mrs. Henley.
The Whitney exhibition, New Image Painting had the idea to display art that mixed classical and popular art. Marcia Tucker would call this medium “Bad Painting” because artists discarded the classical drawing methods to create personal views of the world. The exhibition itself become monumental in which unfolded within the space. This art followed the idea of neo expressionism where it offered a refreshing alternative to the unflinching abstraction and industrial forms of minimal art. The use of color, and abstract shapes seen in the New Image exhibition can be associated to the artworks of contemporary artists who practice pop or photorealistic styles.
My creativity is not only expressed by design but also immerses into other aspects of my life. I started writing a new story-line in which the hero didn't survive after I finished reading the science fiction The End of Eternity; when Lady Gaga's voice conquered my classroom, new melodies resounded in my head and pounded against my ventricles; I designed a new traffic signal system that could alleviate the traffic jams after getting stuck on the roads every day. Creating makes me sensitive to new ideas and able to propose solutions to problems.
Throughout my entire childhood I have not been exposed to a whole lot of creativity around myself. Although there was one specific person that has caught my attention about creativity. This person is my older sister Amy Trinh. I have observed her to be one of the most creative person I know due to her process and experiences that I have seen. Throughout my interview with her I will be portraying how her creativity stands out to me and how it makes me think of her as a unique person while also using Creative and Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi to relate to creativity as a whole.
Personality – the ability to speak to people on a visceral level – is what makes someone special. When people think about creativity, words such as originality come to mind. Because creativity ultimately is the capability to outperform the past and its accomplishments, there is nothing more original than someone's own personal existence, thought, and history. In my own life, I wrote a one act play titled The Usual Tension that dealt with the conflict within ourselves between our self-confidence and apprehension. The play was based off a personal experience involving myself and a girl who I had a relationship with throughout my sophomore year of high school. To look at creativity at a much more broader scale, Kanye West's album My Beautiful
