My favorite constellation would be the Cassiopeia. It is one of the most recognizable constellations in the northern sky during night time in fall and early winter. It has a W shape formed by five bright stars. It is part of the 48 constellations written in Ptolemy's work in the 2nd-century and still part of the 88 modern constellations today.
Cassiopeia was the beautiful and proud wife of King Cepheus and the mother of Princess Andromeda. She is known as a vain queen for bragging that she's lovelier than the sea nymphs and even Juno herself. The goddesses who were much insulted went to Neptune for help. At some stories, Cassiopeia didn't approve Andromeda and Perseus's marriage so she was turned to stone when Perseus showed her Medusa's head

She was placed upside down by Neptune to humiliate her for the rest of her life.
Cassiopeia was the most beautiful woman in the Sun kingdom but has a heart of a stone. She never knew love and she didn't have any friends. Her father, the faithful servant of the king made an heroic deed of slaying the bandits in their kingdom and the king rewarded him. The king decided, as a reward that his daughter will marry his heir, Prince Igor. She never really cared but Igor's really attracted to her. One day before her marriage, she decided to roam around the village when an old woman came to her and asked for a few change. She didn't hesitate to give which surprised the people around her. After giving the old woman some change, the woman asked for another help. She said her 6 year old son's left in the dark forest and she can't go back to fetch him with the state of her feet. She looked at her feet and they're crooked and dry. She decided to help her. She asked the woman to wait for her in the shed as she went to the south part of the village where the dark forest lies. She went there, ignoring the fact that it's dangerous. She came across a small house and there she met Amos. Amos was a gentleman and he's really attractive. Cassiopeia hasn't met anyone that
King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia were the parents of Andromeda. The Queen was very vain because she was so beautiful . Cassiopeia and her daughter were more beautiful than the nymphs the followed Poseidon on his journey’s. Eventually Poseidon wanted to punish the Queen because of how vain she was, so he sent a sea monster named Cetus to destroy the city the Queen and King ruled over named Aethiopeia. The King and Queen got anxious and nervous but decided that instead of having their city destroyed they would sacrifice their daughter Andromeda instead.
I chose the constellation Andromeda because the back story and myths it has really fascinates me! I feel that some of the myths behind the consolations can be rather boring, but with the romance and danger all wrapped into one, I continue going back to it. This constellation is the 19th largest in the sky and is located in the first quadrant of the northern hemisphere. It takes seven-hundred-twenty-two square feet in the sky!
The constellation that I have chosen is Capricornus. Capricornus is one of the twelve zodiac constellations, and it symbolizes the sea-goat. The best time to see this constellation would be at ten o'clock at night in September and October, especially if you live in the Northern Hemisphere. I chose this constellation because according to Astrology I am a Capricorn and thought it would be interesting to know more about the constellation relating to my zodiac sign. Capricornus has five stars with planets in it's constellation.
Pasiphae: She is the wife of Minos, and mother of Androgeus. Poseidon cause her to fall in love with the Cretan bull, to which end up with her giving birth to the Minotaur.
Other names Demeter was known as are Ceres, Sito, and Thesmophoros. Daughter of Cronus and Rhea, her siblings included Zeus, Poseidon, Hestia, Hades, and Hera. Along with her siblings, when Demeter was born, in order for Cronus to protect his power, he swallowed his children. Demeter was full grown by the time she was spit back out by her father. Demeter, and her brother, Zeus, gave birth to Persephone, who became queen of the Underworld. Her other children included Despoina, Arion, Plutus, Philomelus, Eubuleus, Chrysothemis, and Amphitheus I.
The constellation I have chosen to write about is Orion. This is one of the most famous constellations in the night sky. I chose this one because as I stated, it is very famous, and because it is one of those constellations that I have seen many times. Orion is a hunter, so the constellation shows a man holding a club and shield. It is easily recognized by the three stars in a line that form the hunter's belt.
Cassiopea xamachana, more commonly known as the upside down jellyfish, is commonly found in the Caribbean Sea and parts of the western Atlantic Ocean. It lives near the bottoms of inshore ponds and bays and other shallow, tropical waters. The upside down jellyfish can be found in sandy mudflats as well. It is native to the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, but has also been introduced to the Pacific Ocean and Mediterranean Sea.
The Constellation I chose is Lupus, also called „the Wolf“. It’s located in the southern sky and was one of the 48 constellations, which were listed by Ptolemy, a second century astronomer. Previously it was an asterism associated with its neighbour constellation Centaurus, but belongs to the now 88 official constellations. It has nine main stars, 41 Bayer stars and five stars with planets. Lupus is surrounded by six different constellations: Hydra, Scorpius, Norma, Circinus, Libra and Centaurus.
Cassiopeia is very interesting constellation with an extremely extraordinary story. Cassiopeia was the wife of an Ethiopian king named Cepheus. Cassiopeia was very beautiful and self-loving. Cassiopeia had promised that her daughter, Andromeda would marry Perseus but Cassiopeia had doubts about her promise. She then persuaded one of Poseidon’s sons, Agenor to interrupt the marriage ceremony and try to take Andromeda for himself. Agenor came with a huge army and a battle commenced. Cassiopeia in the battle started crying out “Perseus must die” but Perseus had a trick up his sleeve. He had just killed Medusa, a gorgon and he had kept her head. He showed the gorgon’s head to the wedding party and they immediately turned to stone, along
I chose the Andromeda constellation because Greek mythology is very interesting to me, and I love the story behind this constellation. Andromeda is most prominent during autumn evenings in the Northern Hemisphere.
I have chosen the Orion constellation, or the hunter constellation as some call it. I chose this constellation because it is a beautiful constellation. Orion is the brightest and most beautiful of the winter constellations. Some of its stars, including Betelgeuse and Rigel, are among the brightest stars. While it was named after the hunter in Greek mythology it is definitely not stealthy. Orion is one of the most prominent and recognizable constellations in the sky and can be seen throughout the world. It is located on the celestial equator.
One day the young girl’s father discovered the two in an orchard declaring love for one another. He became enraged and banned the young lovers from continuing this affair. However they still managed. The young girl’s mother supported the two and helped them betray the rulings of her father. The mother took the two to a nearby Province and committed them into marriage.
The constellation I have chosen is the constellation Hydrus. It was originally established by dutchman Petrus Plancius prior to 1603 and is located in the southern hemisphere. While it is composed of three main stars arranged in a vaguely triangular shape, it contains many over twenty one celestial bodies. Some of the stars are known to have planets in their orbit. I chose it because of its pleasing shape and its association with water snakes, of which I am especially fond.
She cursed Medusa so she would have snakes for hair, and turn people to stone when they look at her. She also had a dragon’s body. She begged Perseus to kill her, so he chopped of her head. Perseus gave her head to Athena, who was very pleased.
My favourite constellation is Scorpius, also known as Scorpio. I actually don't know why it is my favourite, but I know that when I look for constellations when I can, my eyes are drawn straight to Scorpius, and I love the shape that the stars make to form the constellation. The name Scorpius is a Latin word for scorpion, and the constellation is one of the larger seen in the southern hemisphere, where it lies between Libra, Sagittarius, and is very close to the centre of the Milky Way. It is made up of 18 main stars, and can be seen clearly in the month of July at around 9pm, according to Wikipedia. Scorpius is very closely associated with Orion.
