((AU! Warning. Please tell me if you are reading. Fledging!Castiel x Demon!Dean)) "Come out little fledgling, I know you're here." Dean's voice echoed slightly through the mostly empty isles of the library he had been commanded to investigate. The Demon had been part of the first wave sent to invade this part of heaven, killing the warriors that opposed them and taking the rest as prisoners and slaves back to Hell. The two races had been at war for centuries, fighting taking place in both Heaven and Hell, but tonight was a definite win for the Demons, having captured a town such as this. After the first initial attack against the various angelic dwellings Dean's leader, Alastair, had told him to check out outlying buildings for any hidden
‘Old scores could be settled on a plane of heavenly combat between Lucifer and the Lord; suspicions and the envy of the miserable toward the happy could and did burst out in the general revenge.’
After God created the Earth and mankind, all was right in the Holy kingdom. That is until, a friend, the bearer of light, the morning star fell in battle and ultimately in darkness. This fateful battle made true everything we know and live now. Milton and Dante play on this every concept in two very different ways, for Milton a cunning reflection of man and for Dante an animalisitic dunce. Milton and Dante use the Bible stories as a backdrop for their epic poems of love and of loss wherein a single unique character, a bearer of light is made to reverberate humanity and the supreme basic darkness that is the soul of man, one can note these key elements vis-a-vis his appearance, domain and the influence of Lucifer.
s tale is a rebuttal to the tale told by the friar insulting summoners. In this tale, the summoner highlights the hypocrisy of a particular friar. Before telling his tale the summoner says that friars and demons are not too different. He tells of a friar who had a vision of hell. While being showed around the friar noticed that no other friars were around. When he asked about the other friars, it was revealed that they were all inside of Satan’s anus.
“I will not send my whole army to take them out!” a gigantic demon shouted, already losing his temper. He was dark gray, with pitch black shiny spikes jutting out of his knees, elbows, shoulders, and other places. He had one straight and pointy horn, coming out of the left side of his head and a second broken off, stubby one on the right. He had a pair of bone wings tucked against his back. His eyes were blood red with a crazed glint in them.
My work of art is Michael the Archangel vanquishing the devil. It was drawn by Raphael the great renaissance artist. The miniature version of this painting was completed in 1504 or 1505 A little more than a decade after completing the little St. Michael, Raphael was commissioned to revisit the theme, producing St. Michael Vanquishing Satan for Pope Leo X. Following further restoration in 1685, it was transferred from the original wood to canvas in 1753. Michael had many abilities, to make him the most powerful angel. He is loyal and righteous to all and Michael’s name means protector of god. Also, God himself appointed Michael the Archangel as the general of the armies of heaven. Michael is also my confirmation name which I picked because
Known to be the largest medieval books in the world, The Codex Gigas is believed to be the “Devil’s Bible” due to the illustration of the devil on most of its page and some of its content. It weighs 165 lbs and about 9 inches thick. This will probably give you goosebumps while browsing through the page.
"That is a very good question. Dean will be the hardest nut to crack. I will have to come back to him, lets just think about how to seduce Raphael
Satan’s definitions include the advocate of God, a personification of evil, the fallen angel, a spirit created by God, and also the accuser. People see Satan differently, some know of his existence, others think of him as just a myth, and there are those that just ignore him. John Milton's Paradise Lost tells of Satan's banishment from Heaven and his gain of earth. He and his brigade have plotted war against God and are now doomed to billow in the fiery pits of hell. Satan is a complex character with many different qualities. God is a character who we, as Christians, know about but do not completely understand. We also do not completely understand Satan. Some may think they know Satan but when asked “Is Satan divine?”
Dean was leaning against the wall, his head resting against the cool bricks of the building. He waited at the back of the building for around twenty minutes until Castiel came to where they agreed to meet. His hands nearly went out to wrap around Castiel until he noticed the rips on his dress or the tears that were rolling down his cheeks. " Who did this to you ?" He wondered, his voice full of authority and worry yet he didn't want to scare Castiel. His arms wrapped in a protective way around Castiel, keeping him close by him. " Do you want me to take you home ? Or back to my place ? I don't mean for sexual reasons but I want to make sure that you are okay. " Dean stated, practically whispering into Castiel's ear before pulling back. " I
Milton’s Satan in Paradise Lost is a complex character meant to be the evil figure in the epic poem. Whenever possible Satan attempts to undermine God and the Son of God who is the true hero of the story. Throughout the story Milton tells the readers that Satan is an evil character, he is meant not to have any redeeming qualities, and to be shown completely as an unsympathetic figure. Satan’s greatest sins are pride and vanity in thinking he can overthrow God, and in the early part of the poem he is portrayed as selfish while in Heaven where all of God’s angels are loved and happy. Satan’s journey starts out as a fallen angel with great stature, has the ability to reason and argue, but by Book X the anguish and pain he goes through is
A demon's job is to corrupt as many souls as possible. But for Jaeryth, there's only one soul, one woman he's interested in: Logan Frost. His obsession with her causes his performance to suffer, so the Prince of Hell strips him of his demonic status and sends him to the mortal realm on one last mission -- turn Logan to Hell’s side, or kill her. An eternity of torture awaits him if he fails.
John Milton’s Paradise Lost is an epic poem that describes the fall of Satan and the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise. Satan is the protagonist of Paradise Lost and has several characteristics in which readers may identify with him. Throughout the poem, Satan is not only a tragic hero but also the key character that drives the plot and portrays many flawed human qualities. As an angel fallen from the high esteem of God and a possessor of hubris that leads to his downfall, he represents a tragic hero but also a character in which readers may identify with.
A person can be very manipulative. This can cause somebody to believe that another person’s actions are always good, when in reality they are not at all. In Elizabeth Bowen’s short story called The Demon Lover, a woman’s long lost lover tracks her down and leaves her a letter. In the letter he asks her to keep her vow and spend her life with him. After getting scared the woman tries to run away by getting into a taxi.. Another situation quite similar to this happens in an anonymous poem also titled, The Demon Lover, but the woman in the poem agrees to leave with the man and ends up getting killed by him. Although Bowen’s story portrays the man as an ex-fiance coming back for his long lost promise, there is an abundance of textual evidence
In Milton's Paradise Lost, he writes the story of the fall of Satan, his followers, and mankind. Many critics often view Satan as the unlikely or tragic hero of the epic poem. Satan is, obviously, the main character throughout most of the poem, but not necessarily the hero. Satan's main purpose is to fight G-d, and try to be on the same level as Him. The important thing is to realize that Satan is sin, and being humans, who are all born into sin, we can easily relate to a sinful character. G-d is holy and perfect. This is something which we, being fallible humans, cannot begin to comprehend. Satan does, at the beginning, follow many of the attributes which coincide with Aristotle's definition of a tragic hero; however, after the
The Hell I bring forth with the help of Gaiman is still a place for those who have done wrong especially when it is in opposition to what they know to be right, but severe punishment wouldn’t be such an emphasis. Rather than pain being the scapegoat of one’s ill will actions, Hell can be a place for utter cleansing of the well-being and affix the individual to not be behaviorally inclined to commit such actions again. Amend the root of the problem and not just handling the aftermath of the problem by creating a more ethical person. In the plot to the Sandman comic, the Angel Ramiel is one of the two angels sent from Heaven to replace the old Devil in commanding over Hell. Ramiel soon tells a damned soul of the new intentions and focus of the
