Seabiscuit was becoming a favorite for race spectators even after losing the Santa Anita Handicap. In the West, people recognize Seabiscuit’s win unlike in the East where they only acknowledge him when they can no longer ignore his fame. "He took the victory, the Triple Crown... It would have never occurred to anyone in the East that this horse would be Seabiscuit. When they had last seen him, he was a midlevel stakes winner in the hands of a trainer no one had heard of and a jockey no one remembered" (Hillenbrand, 143). In the West, Seabiscuit

Every since the character Shelly appeared on Cedar Cove towards the end of season 1 and I heard her amazing voice and witnessed her captivating take on the ex-girlfriend of Jack Griffith’s wayward son, Eric, I was intrigued by this beauty who seemed to just exude talent at every turn. I discovered the amiable and multi-talented Hayley Sales, and when I saw her featured in Hallmark’s Winterfest film, Love on the Sidelines, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to catch up with her and give her fans a taste of who she really is.
Esperanza and her mother made the choice to leave Mexico and go to California to work and escape Tio Luis, which I believe to be a good decision. The outcome of this struggle reveals that his character is centered around integrity. The barber contemplates murdering Captain Torres while he is most vulnerable, “[Torres] leaned back and closed his eyes.” (pg.14A) This awoken the conflicting thoughts of how the barber’s reputation would be viewed, “ Murderer or hero?” (pg.15C) A continuation of his thoughts concluded that he did not want to be viewed as a murderer; “I don’t want blood on my hands.” (pg.15C) The barber valued honor, and as Captain Torres came to him for a shave he would do just that, “Just lather, that’s all.” (pg.15C) Another aspect that weighed heavily onto the barber as he was shaving Captain Torres where his values as a revolutionary. His strong values as a revolutionary strongly contradicted his values of honor and integrity. This posed a unique dilemma as the barber was forced to choose between avenging the executions of his fellow revolutionaries, and valuing respectability in his profession. His ultimate decision of letting Captain Torres leave peacefully further revealed his character as he chose integrity over what his fellow revolutionaries would have deemed right, “it was going to be very difficult to explain that I had him right in my hands and let him go peacefully.” (pg.14C) The barber's choice to not kill Captain Torres clearly
