Abstract
Obsessive compulsive disorder is a psychological disorder that causes a person to have obsessive thoughts and repetitive behaviors. Typically, people say OCD is when someone is obsessed with cleaning and having everything in a certain place, but there is more to it. There are other types of OCD like being afraid of germs and getting dirty. The brain is affected in a way that these people cannot handle how they feel or what they want to do. There are abnormalities found in some parts of the brain like the Orbital Cortex, Basal Ganglia, and the Thalamus correlates with the obsessive thoughts and repetitive behaviors that someone with this disorder experiences.
