As Catholics, our main goal in life is to find ourselves and our God given talents,. We are to embrace them and make a difference in the world, to make as great an impact as we can in order to work towards a world that is in Gods likeness. We learned from a young age to honor the one and only Lord and honor our mother and father. We learned not steal or commit adultery. As we grow older we learn the other commandments and become able to understand the greater meaning of His message of how to live. We identify our sins and work to eliminate them and many of the corrupt actions of our institutions on our society. Although we may have shortcomings, we actively pursue a life of improving ourselves and being kind to others.

For, as Jesus ends, “many who are first will be last and the last first.”
While my own tendencies urge me to believe the good in all men I do not think this man was naively calling Jesus “Good teacher” out of respect, but rather to let Jesus know he was a man of wealth and therefore be due respect himself. Jesus directly rejects this social sigma, by not only refusing to address the man in a similar manner, but also rejecting the title “Good” for any man, for only God is truly deserving of such a designation. He rejects that a man’s earnings or wealth should grant him revere. In his expectation that Jesus would treat him well simply because of the, “Good”, respectable title he denoted unto him. For in that time, as in our common day, respect granted unto a stranger usually meant that such person was an upper class
Everyone has a call from God to carry out a vocation that contributes to the betterment of society. Discerning this call, then fulfilling it, is living a meaningful life.
In Christianity, the purpose of this life is to better your relationship with God and to know Him better. This is also proven in Job 22:21 that if you align yourself with God and are in harmony with that relationship that you will receive good things in this world.
Jesus said, “If your leaders say to you, Look, the (Father’s) kingdom is in the sky, then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, It is in the sea, then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father’s) kingdom is within you and it is outside you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty”.

If you ask a million Catholics what is means to be Catholic, you will get a million different answers. The Catholic church has many different values and teachings. Some teachings appeal to certain people, and others don't. But, to me, being Catholic is believing and following the teachings. No matter what, always having faith that the word of the Lord is truth. Sometimes this can be hard, but we must always remember God wants what is best for us. When we are doubting this,
My main goal in life is to be successful and be the best person that I can be. I want to give to others as often as I can and try to see the light in all situations. I think that this is my own goal. It is simply the person that I want to be. I am sure that others may have influenced this in some way or another. For instance, my mother has probably influence my want to see the good in everyone, because she fails to see the good in me. All in all, these are my
The Catholic Church teaches the most important that is the one true church founded by Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church
It's mainly based around human dignity, with a holistic approach to development, which comes back to the main principles of catholic social teaching.
Catholics believe in one God known as the Father and creator of heaven and earth and all of the things they contain. Through Him all things were made. God gave up his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, who was crucified, tortured, and killed in order to save us from our sins. On the third day, He rose again and fulfilled the word of the scripture. He woke up and ascended into heaven and sat at the right hand of God the Father. He is to return to this world at an unknown time and location to judge the dead and the living.
Growing up Catholic, I learned that the most important thing in life is love: love for yourself, love for the people around you, and love for your surrounding. An absolute and unconditional love of life spreads to everything in your vicinity and brings good into the world. Father Arrupe puts this into light by reminding us that a love that does not improve our community is not a pure love. When we love ourselves and God, we are then driven to share the love and provide for others. We see this manifested through influential martyrs such as Joan of Arc or Paul the apostle who, in order to find prosperity and lift up the people around them, sacrificed themselves. Through a true love, we can find justice and peace for all.
Firstly, all Roman Catholics should perform the works of mercy because we will be judged, at the end, on the basis of love shown to others. The love in which we share God’s compassion and mercy for each other. As we transition into
God is one the most important people in Christian’s lives. He gives us everything from love to understanding and wisdom. He sees us all as his children because we are his creation. Because of us being born as man, we are reluctant to be anything as God is. Christians have the ultimate goal, as to live as God would want us to, by loving one another, being kind hearted, and do all things well by God. 1 John 4:8 says “God is love”, resembling that anything we do needs to be out of love to be like him.
