People never know when life can come crashing to an end. My boyfriend, friend and I were in a car accident that happened while we brought her home from a rival high school football game. Many factors went into the cause of the wreck, but there are several more effects of this event that need to be discussed. A car crash can affect your life in a variety of ways. To begin with, there are some obvious negative ways that an accident can impact your life. One of those things is a totaled car. When the wreck occurred, we drifted off the road and into a ditch. Consequently, we hit a tree that destroyed the vehicle. The front left side of the Catillac was gone and the left front tire was bent into the car. On my side, the mirror on the outside of the car was taken off and the door was bent in enough to where it would not open. Due to this event my boyfriend’s family is now out a vehicle. Secondly, injuries is another issue. The only injuries that we received was sore muscles from jerking forward due to impact with the tree. Although this could have been something major. If the car had flipped, then this crash could have been fatal. Thankfully everyone was okay. Moreover, there was also trama from the wreck. Emotionally, I was messed up for a couple of days after it. I could still see and feel the crash happening. It almost felt like a dream afterwards even though I knew it really did happen. I was wondering why the wreck happened the way that it did. I was also wondering if anything different happened then would have the outcome remained the same. The last negative effect of this is how much each of our parents trust us now. With my boyfriend’s parents, they actually were not too upset about the totaled vehicle. They were just glad that all of us were not harmed severely. When I finally got home that night I got yelled at, but it was expected. My dad was just scared about what had happened and he took it out on me. As for the trust, my parents were fine with me. As for them trusting my boyfriend’s driving again, well.. he might have a little ways to go before the just level gets up to the same mark it was before. Even though there are many negatives to this car crash happening, there are still positive effects
It seems each year that the automobile accidents increase, and there are a high number of death and injuries that follow. Records show that nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes and 20-50 million are injured. More than half of all traffic death occur among young adults 15-44 years of age( ). Accidents can happen at any time and can be caused by many reasons such as rain, speeding, drug, or alcohol. An automobile accident is what brought the 16-year-old boy to the emergency to be care for by the medical staff there. The patient was seen by the ER staff for several hours, and he was admitted later in the inpatient unit for observation. The next morning when staff tried waking the patient he was died.
Background and Audience Relevance: According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2015, about thirty-five hundred people were killed, and four hundred thousand were injured in car crashes.
The faster you drive, the larger the force of impact your car has. This being said, if you were going 60 mph and you crashed into a object, the force of impact would be sudden and jerking. You would definitely feel the impact and are more likely to be injured. However, if you were going 10 mph and you crashed into an object, the force of impact would still be evident, but you would be less likely to be jerked roughly and injured. If you were in a small compact car going 45 mph and are hit by a semi, your injuries are likely to be catastrophic and the driver of the semi’s injuries are likely going to be minor.
Getting in a car accident is an unnerving thing. You never know what can happen and if your lucky you might see it coming. Well as often as these accidents occur, it happened to Spencer and I on one fateful summer evening.
The family along with other witnesses claimed that the driver could have been under the influence, which may have led to the accident.
The five teenagers were in a Honda Civic. The driver of the car was going over 90 MPH, lost control of the car and hit another car. Two more teens were seriously injured in the accident. The crash changed the family members of the teens' lives forever. The driver of the crash was charged with reckless driving and served 13 years in prison.
Initially; when I became aware of my surroundings, the driver of the other car was at my side asking if we were okay. My friend was screaming, her face was covered in blood. The rearview mirror was missing, windshield and driver side window shattered and
For a crash to be catastrophic different factors need to be applied. The first is kinetic energy, if two cars crashed and they both were going at high speeds their kinetic energy would be very high causing the accident to be catastrophic. Also if the drivers were not wearing any seatbelts there would be no inertia stopping them. The last law is gravity, if a small car was driving at normal speed and crashed against another car the injury would be minor because the kinetic energy is not high and the masses either.
Motor vehicle collisions stand as one of the leading causes of death in North America. Teens and young adults who have recently gotten their license usually account for about one fatality every 10 minutes. Researchers from the New England Journal of Medicine have done a study on the occurrence of car crashes and the average statistics for crashes during the year shows that about one person in 50 will become involved in a motor vehicle collision. For the people who have become involved in a crash; only about 1 percent of them will die, then 10 percent will be hospitalized, and 25 percent will unfortunately become temporarily disabled. (Donald A. Redelmeier, M.D., and Robert J. Tibshirani, Ph.D., New England Journal of

Before you let your teen behind the wheel, consider exposing them to the seriousness of car accidents and crashes, which can cause severe physical injury and psychological problems. For example, common injuries involve the head, neck, back and spinal cord. Car crash survivors may experience anxiety, phobias, depression and even PSTD. MADD Canada offers a tribute website that allows victims and survivors to share their moving stories of how impaired driving has impacted their life. Consider having your teen read a few stories and discuss them with you.

The families of the people involved are also emotionally affected if anyone was injured or killed. Traffic accidents cause issues with money and insurance depending on who caused the accident and the extent of the damage.
Along with accidents not only comes a little headache or a broken bone, but injuries that stay with you forever such as whiplash and brain damage. Most brain damage incidents occur when you are involved in a side impact collision and the side of your head hits the glass (brain injury).
