Many people think that money coming to their pocket is good, same way they think money going out from their pocket is bad but they don’t consider the way money is traveling. This is because these kinds of people have no moral accountability to anybody and these kind have the people full trust on money. Political corruption is a chain that spans the various countries of the world and they usually occur when government officials abuse their power for personal gain or interest. Very few are those who use or know the term "transparency", being that the power is very easy to corrupt. The political corruption is the misuse of public power that aims to gain some profit or advantage in an illegal way, usually secretly and privately.
Governments are very sensitive to political corruption. Therefore, there are many types of corruption such as illegitimate use of inside information, drug trafficking, patronage, extortion, bribery, fraud, embezzlement, and many more. Bribery could be one of the common corruption in the country. It
“Corruption, improper and usually unlawful conduct intended to secure a benefit for oneself or another its forms include bribery, extortion, and the misuse of inside information. It exists where there is community indifference or a lack of enforcement policies.”(Encyclopedia Britannica). Today political Corruption in all forms exists in every country in the world. In some countries it is more prominent then in others, but no matter where you go it still occurs. Recently in mid 2013 some political corruption was brought to light in New York. “Since 2007, state senators have been more likely to be arrested then to lose their seats in a general election,” (New York Public Interest Research group). In April of 2013 New York State
“All contributions by corporations to any political committee or for any political purpose should be forbidden by law” This quote from Theodore Roosevelt illustrates how corporate money can be disastrous when involved in election cycles. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The Supreme Court decided in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that companies and Super PAC’s could donate unlimited amount of money to support candidates. The Citizens United ruling has caused increased political corruption in the United States by giving candidates the money they need to win an election while changing policies that would be beneficial to the company.

Power and corruption seem to be words that most people would say go hand in hand. Why is this, though? Does power lead to corruption or is there some other correlation? Maybe it is powerlessness that actually brings corruption. Everyone to some extent is powerless; even the highest leaders are not absolute. Power is at all times up to question, as anyone could lose it with just a few events. Also the only way to be absolute in power would be complete world domination, which no one person has ever possessed. Thus everyone is somewhat powerless and it is this quality that brings people to corruption as they search for ultimate power.
Corruption can take many forms and can be found in many countries, but mainly in the emerging ones. The main form of corruption is the bribery in the form of payments demanded by the government or ministry officials in exchange for a favor (granting a service, awarding a business).Corruption affects all the businesses that interfere with the government, but studies have shown that certain industries are more exposed to it. These industries are construction, airline manufacturing, power plants, and oil and gas production.

TO be more specific, a Democrat governor versus Republican governor, described to us the life of George Ryan, who after of being decorated now was convicted of a lot of crimes that he had done in his past. Hence, where were those men in one way or another that are charge in different types of crimes. The author wants us to know that corruption exists in all social levels, like Blagojevich, George Ryan, John Harris and all the politicians that are in power around the world. We see how they take advantage of others that are less fortune in life, that the only ways to build their imperialism is by robbing the hospital and highway toll system
