Splitting Ends While bored in class one day, I began to braid my hair, but as soon as I got to the ends I noticed that many tips of my hair were split and rough. I was confused as to why my ends had so many splits,as far as I knew my hair was healthy. With curiosity, I decided to research what caused that to happen. Once I conducted my research, I discovered three reasons that had caused my hair to split. Apparently, using heated hair stylers on my hair was one of the major reasons causing my split ends. Using the research I collected, I found out each strand of hair has three layers. The medulla is the innermost layer and it contains melanin, which gives your hair its color. The next layer is the cortex, and contains keratin which gives your
The purpose of this project was to find out if there is a difference in the strength of different types of hair. I wanted to see if color or chemicals made a difference. My hypothesis was that blonde hair was stronger than brown hair and chemically treated hair. Individual strands of hair were collected from 30 female subjects. I tied one end to a hair hanging device and the other to a baggie. I added pennies into the bag until the strands broke, which is how I determined their strength. My testing showed that brown hair was the strongest and held an average of 27.9 pennies. Chemically treated hair held an average of 14.9 pennies and blonde
Make sure the sections of hair are equal to keep the braid from appearing lopsided.
In regards to hair communities there are different patterns of hair textures. Everyone has different DNA, skin color, and of course hair. Hair textures all over the world have different types. This refers to your specific pattern of hair. This goes from one to four and has specialized divisions labeled A, B, C. The first is 1A, which is described as bone straight. 1B is not completely straight and holds a curl easier. 1C has slight waves and is not fully straight. The second category of hair is wavy or “S” shaped. 2A is loose, and beachy; 2B is tighter and more defined. Lastly 2C is susceptible to more frizz with small spiral like curls. The third is curly. This goes to 3A, which has the curl diameter of sidewalk chalk. 3B refers to a curl

Human hair extensions are all the rage now, and why shouldn’t they be? They give the wearer unlimited styling options, and are not heavy and itchy like synthetic extensions can sometimes be. They’re luxurious and glamorous, and can transform even the plainest Jane to the belle of the ball. With great hair extensions, the question you’d be getting would be ‘is that your hair?’ not ‘what weave are you wearing?’
The sun can damage your extensions in a variety of different ways. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can loosen the material that keeps your extensions bonded to your head. Try to stay in the shade as much as possible when you are outside. If you cannot avoid the direct sunlight, just purchase a few fun summer hats that go with your wardrobe. This will help keep your bonds that hold your extensions in place cool.
Braiding hair is oftenly found as quite complicated, but with these simple steps as a guide creating a braid will come about easily. First, brush the hair to get out all of the knots and snarls in the hair. Next, divide the hair into three equal sections. Then pull the middle section through the center of the two side sections and bring it to whatever side you desire. This will now make the middle section a side section. To conclude, repeat the last two steps until you posses a full braid, and secure it with a small rubber band and a couple bobby pins where needed. Now, the hair will stay out of the face and remain stylish at the same time all day.
Your personal stylist will tell you which techniques and hairstyles can guard against breakage and can suggest oils and products that ease your itching scalp.
A significant difference between African American hair and Caucasian hair is the curl pattern or bond of the hair follicles. Other than that, they both have the same identical makeup. A single hair follicle possesses some complex structures such as a cuticle and root. It contains three layers; epidermis, dermis, and the subcutaneous layer. These are the outer, middle, and inner layer of the follicle. It is composed of certain connective tissue like adipose or fat found in the subcutaneous layer. The strand has cells like keratin and melanophore that provides the hair with the many shades of hair color. The smaller hairs around the perimeter, also known as “baby hairs” develop within the first trimester of conception. They often grow out as a person gets older, but with some people, it remains. There are several different types of curl patterns that people may have. It varies from soft waves to tight coils. This depends on the type of bond a hair follicle has. The tighter the bond, the tighter the curl and
Hi, Jamie thank you for the response I appreciate your empathy. I too have experienced several hair mistakes. In the past, I went to a hairstylist that was untrained in multicultural hair. I am a woman of color with very fine hair. Assumingly the hairstylist conveyed that my hair type could adapt to a chemical relaxer and or texturizer. Unfortunately, the head hairstylist was mistaken; I experience a chemical burn on my scalp with scabs all over my head. Next, my hair turned a red shade and then fell out. Sadly to it took me over a year restore my hair. Over the years I experience several inexperience hairstylists. So it is rare to find a quality professional stylist. When this occurred, I never spoke to the hairstylist to convey my disappointment.
Human hair is available in many different grades; mainly from women that offer their hair to deities in Hindu temples and other countries in a show of respect and gratitude. Few don’t realize the offerings wind up in a lucrative export market serving China and Hollywood and all over the world. Human Hair texture wigs need special care to last longer than one year, as they can become delicate and brittle. Although the hair extensions are very helpful and useful, they cause bad effects on the scalp and hair. Tight slick hairstyles, constant pulling from the hairline, excessive heat, and excessive coloring of the hair are all leading causes in the breakage of each strand and of scalp irritation. Alopecia areata runs in a family history or it can actually happen to someone by reason. “It is a very common and very distressing disease to these patients.” says Leonard Sperling, a medical examiner from the article “Use of Hair Weaves May Be Linked to Alopecia” by Damian McNamara. The disease is not easy to deal with so one should think again about using hair extensions for a long period of time. After using them for a long period of time, your hair can become weak and fragile.
