Dec, 6 World War
World War 1 was one of the the worst conflict around countries many people died to protect their country. A modern war they had machine guns, tanks, planes, gas and more many people died. People were forced to fight in the war if only you were the age of 18. The war started in August, 1914 it lasted over 4 years and 3 months. Its was one of the most tragic event in history many people died and which lead to another war.
The war was trigger was over an assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. Heir to the throne of Austria, Hungary by Yugoslav nationalist Gavrilo Princip in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914. Then Germany presented an ultimatum to Russia
World War I, a war that started out locally in Europe between Austria-Hungary and Serbia that later ended up including thirty two different nations. This war has been around for almost a century and yet the causes of it are still being debated. There are many different scenarios that have been considered. Some of the key reasons that were believed to have instigated WWI were nationalism, imperialism, militarism, and an arrangement of treaties. Also the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was believed to be one of the immediate causes.
Great War, also known as The First World War, lasted for four year (1914 to 1918). It brought a huge development of war technics and weapons. More number of countries had been involved in the Great War than any previous war. It involved the mobilization of the whole nations, not just an enormous army that turned the war into a “total war”. (Clare 6) However, historians are still arguing about the major cause of the World War I. The major cause will be one of the four long-term causes of WWI, which are Militarism, Alliance, Imperialism, and Nationalism. In my opinion, the two major causes would be Alliance and Nationalism. Alliance is an association between two or more countries for mutual benefits that formed with different treaties, while
What actually started the war was the alliances between countries. Countries in Europe formed alliances with each other (e.g., Russia, Britain, and France in the Triple Entente and Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy in the Triple Alliance) (Doc A). The countries in the Entente all blamed Germany for the war and felt the need to intervene (Doc B). Germany was backing up Austria-Hungary and Russia was backing up Serbia whom were in a spat. Which lead to invasions and more friends of these countries joining the war to aide them.
World War 1 was the first total war that the world had ever gone through. World war 1 began on July 28, 1914, and lasted till November 11, of 1918, lasting over 4 years producing over 10 million casualties. The main question is “What was the underlying cause of World war 1?” this is asking what were the causes that led to the war. There were a few causes to world war 1, the most underlying cause was militarism. Militarism was the most impactful reason for the war, and what ultimately pulled the last straw.
World War I began as a simple assassination between two enemy countries. WWI was also called the Great War because it was the first continental war. It lasted 4 years between 1914 through 1918. With 20 million wounded and 10 million killed, it was a brutal war. With a total of nine nations, including, Germany, France, Italy, Britain, Austria Hungary, Russia, Belgium, Serbia, and the United States. Allies, assassinations, and war preparations were the three underlying causes of WWI. Out of these three, assassinations were the one to blame.
Beginning on July 28th, 1914 and lasting for four years, World War 1 wasn't the deadliest war, but still had a big impact on the world. WWI involved many countries, including, Germany, Austria, France, Britain, etc. All of these countries fighting against one another caused a lot of chaos until it all ended on June 28th, 1919.
World War was one of history’s greatest tragedies. The war was fought in Europe and lasted as long as four year’s, 1914-1918. The war costed an estimate of ten million lives and also twenty million wounded. Also, the war was triggered by the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. It is very to understand the causes of this tragedy. The war had three significant causes. They were Alliances, Militarism, and Imperialism.
The first successful blood transfusion, a Jupitor moon discovery, air conditioners arriving in homes near you, space rocket patent, Henry Ford’s first ever model T assembly line, the opening of the Panama Canal, and even the first ever traffic cone. These things may not seem to go together, however they all have on thing in common, the year 1914. Amidst all these clever, ingenious and amazing discoveries and inventions came World War I. There are four M.A.I.N causes to World War I; militarism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism. However in this essay I'm going to tell you about the three I think most important; militarism, imperialism, and nationalism.
The Immediate cause of the war was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The Archduke and his wife sophie were both shot by a Bosnian Serb Nationalist during a visit to the Bosnian Capital of Sarajevo. The killings sparked the outbreak of WWI by early August. Five years after the death of the Archduke, Germany and the allied powers signed the Treaty of Versailles, which marked the end of the war. The Archduke went to sarajevo to inspect the imperial armed forces in Herzegovina
Trench foot if you don't want it clean your feet. At the time if the soldiers got trench foot it was over for their foot or feet it was one of those things that if you got it to the point where you couldn't even tell if your foot was a foot you had to get it cut off. World war I lasted from 1914 to 1918. It involved almost all the biggest power of the world. There were many causes that could have started world war one many say the main cause for world war I was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. However, many say that the assassination wasn't the main cause, but that there were many other factors that caused world war one. If someone really was to go into big detail and really look into the main cause for world war I they would need to look at the whole picture not just the main big key points. Would they find much?
Soldiers weren’t marching in triumph and the horrible smell of death was lurking in the air after the great war. World War I started in 1914 with assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and ended in November 1918. There were three key factors that played a role and led to the bloody first world war. Alliances, imperialism, and the arms build up are the three major causes however, alliances are the most important underlying cause.
The next most important reason was the murder of the Archduke and heir to the throne of Austria, Franz Ferdinand. This was the “spark” that lead to the beginning of the war. It was important because it caused Austria to attack Serbia. This is because although Bosnia was part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, it wanted to be a part of its neighbouring country Serbia, who ruled themselves and wanted Bosnia to join them. So on June 28th 1914, when Franz and his wife visited Bosnia they were assassinated by the terrorist group the Black Hand. Austria then blamed this on Serbia and used his death as an excuse to attack Serbia. This then lead to many other countries getting involved. This was the spark of the war, as all the countries had already stated their allies and had rivalries with their enemies, and so all they needed was an excuse to fight each other. This is a cause of the start of the war, as it
Many people believe that there are different reasons for the cause of World War 1, also known as "The Great War", or the "War to End All Wars". I have made this to tell you what mainly caused World War 1.
Every single decision made, every threat everyone caused, added up to a war that led to the death of millions and millions of people. A tragedy that everyone could have stopped by letting go. What were the causes of the First World War?
There were many causes of the First World War or the Great War. Some major factors that contributed to the war include nationalism, imperialism, militarism, and the alliance system of countries. The war had a major impact on the US economy and its political influence in the world.
