How Cell Phones Effect our Everyday Lives Once upon a time, cell phones did not exist. If you wanted to make a call you had to use a home phone or a pay phone, but cell phones are now common place in our everyday lives. Almost everyone has one, even children in elementary school have cell phones. So how does having such easy access to a cell phone effect our everyday lives? The positive effects of cell phones are easy to see, as cell phones can be convenient and used as a life line in an emergency. Unfortunately, cell phones also have negative effects and can be a nuisance. Cell phones are a convenient way for the user to stay in touch with family, friends, and business associates. Due to the capabilities of current cell phones available on the market, cell phones have become a necessity rather than a luxury, allowing the user the freedom to roam and carry on with their everyday lives without missing important calls. Today’s cell phones or smart phones have features and applications, or more commonly referred to as apps, that make them an essential tool not only in the business world, but in everyday life. Available cell phone features make it possible to be on the move while staying connected with everyone through e-mail, text and video conferencing. Cell phones also have the capability and convenience of internet searches so needed information can be retrieved in a matter of seconds.
