About Me
“Why her?”, “What makes her special?” I imagine these are some of the questions you are trying to answer as you consider my application. I could say that I am a hard worker, but who wouldn't say that about themselves? I could tell you that I am just totally awesome, but that would be subjective. I don’t know what you imagine as the perfect candidate and I don’t know if I’m that. But I ask you to please have an open mind as I tell you about myself. I’m not perfect, but I know that I would be a strong asset if granted the opportunity to enroll into the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program that our McKinney Independent School District (MISD) is offering to
The career that I plan on pursing would hands down have to be Certified Nursing Assistant. Some people may wonder why I decided to settle with this profession so I guess we’ll just have to take a walk down memory lane. Ever since I was a little girl I love watching nurses work. I never really realized how much I wanted to be a Certified Nursing Assistant until my grandmother took sick at home she had home aids come and see her routinely. I watched my grandmother struggle with her health issues and I also watched how caring and proficient the nurses were towards my grandmother. Seeing my grandmother go through the things she went through definitely made it clear to me that I wanted to do in life. And that was helping all others just like my
The Certified Nursing Assistant program started this year with a new instructor, Karla Garrison RN BSN. Karla was previously one of the state board of nursing examiners and tested our students last year. After being impressed with our students and our program as well as the opportunity to make a difference Karla joined our team. Under her leadership we have transferred to a new curriculum and new text books that are more focused on meeting the Arizona state board exam requirements.
You could complete the Nurse Aid Certificate by taking ALHS 1060 Diet and Nutrition for Allied Health and NAST 1100 Nurse Aide Fundamentals. The Nurse Aid Certificate is attached to this email.
When I leave Finch-Henry Job Corps Center with everything I came to Finch-Henry for, I plan on taking up a career in Nursing Assistant. Before I start to tell why I am pursuing this career, I am going to inform you on the career of Nursing Assistant. A Certified Nurse Assistant is a discipline who works under supervision of a licensed practical. They help patients by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs.
Yes, I previously applied during the 2016-2017 cycle. Since then, I have pursued opportunities to move into other healthcare settings so that I could learn more about patient care and diversify my hands-on experiences. To do this, I earned my Certified Nursing Assistant certificate and transitioned from working as a physical therapist aide to a new position as a phlebotomist and administrative medical assistant for a diagnostic laboratory.
My job as a certified nursing aide or CNA is to give direct care both medical and non-medical to patients. CNA’s can work at various healthcare facilities including hospitals, outpatient departments, long term facilities, clinics, and private home. CNA’s speed a huge time in taking and recording patient vitals, collecting specimens, and providing care for patient’s needs and wants. I myself work in a hospital. Some of the main equipment used to help me perform my job is gloves, masks, protective clothing (such as throw away gowns, hair nets, shoe covers), and face shields. These items are very important as a CNA and help protect you and the patient you are caring for. The largest piece of machinery or equipment I use is a lift, called a Hoyer
Do you have a compassionate heart that wants to serve others? Have you ever wanted to take care of people who are hurting? Nursing may be right for you but there are many levels such as: Clinical Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Registered Nurse (RN). The CNA is the beginner level of nursing but yet one of the most helpful.
I am currently a student at the University of South Carolina wanting to obtain my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I am a very determined student and strive for excellence. I believe I will be an asset to the medical field by providing patients with excellent care and to the extraordinary opportunities within the medical field. If I were to be hired to work for you, I would provide the workplace with many beneficial characteristics such as, demonstrating great teamwork and being able to make patients feel satisfied with their healthcare.
I am eager to become a part of St. Luke’s nursing staff as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I am confident that my Idaho State CNA certification and my 32 hours of internship makes me the perfect contender for this position.
Have you ever looked at one of your grandparents? I mean really, really looked at them. I 'm not talking about looking at the wrinkles lining their faces, the silver and white covering their hair, or their beaten and battered bodies that make it hard for them to live. I 'm talking about that look in Grandma 's eyes when, together, you look at pictures of her children when they were younger. I 'm talking about the way Grandpa, unconsciously, sits up straighter or stands a little taller when you ask him about his time serving his country. You may see a sweet, loving, elderly couple when you see them, but when they look in the mirror, you can bet they still see the young, vibrant, courageous kids they once were.
Thank you for taking the time to interview me on December 21, 2015 for the Certified Nursing Assistant position. I am very pleased to join the Franciscan Community at where my CNA skills will contribute to providing high quality care.
Becoming a Nurse’s Assistant doesn’t require a whole lot of extensive education but a lot of hard work is needed to be put into this career. Being a Nurse’s Assistant requires you to have a high school diploma and specific training in certain fields (BLS.gov). So you will have to have graduated from high school obviously, but you will also need to have training in the nursing fields. You can start training while you’re still in school. Which would mean you could have a job as soon as you graduate or even before. You can take basic classes in high school and taking health occupation classes, and taking health and nurse’s aide training (MSHealth.org). I have been working as a on call certified nursing assistant at a nursing home since I was a senior in high school. I work at least two days a week while being a full-time student at Clackamas Community College. I have attended every classes throughout the whole year at CCC while passed all of my classes at the school. Also, not a single work day was missed . I am aware that I know how to plan my schedules really well and I always tends to plan ahead. If I get into a nursing program at Sumner University, then I can promise that I will commit to all the demands and responsibilities that I will be having in order to be in the program.
My chosen career is a registered nurse with a specialty in neonatal medicine. I am very passionate about helping others and learning how the human body all works together as a coordinated system. Currently I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) where I assist elderly residents with tasks that vary from getting dressed to making sure they are as comfortable as possible. While I thoroughly enjoy working with all of the residents at the nursing home, I am ready for a new challenge. I would like to gain more knowledge in order to help even more people with a wide variety of issues. I am interested to see what it takes to move up the career ladder in the nursing field. As well as what to expect as far as education requirements, salary, and the outlook of nursing jobs. In order to learn more about registered nursing I have scheduled an interview with Stacy Helmuth, a registered nurse at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
