The classical school of criminology which was influenced by Cesare de Baccaria. Baccaria is Considered the classical theory founder. This began were the time was during the 18th were crime and punishment were prevalent. This is the time using capital punishment was the decision in consequences of punishment.( The school of Criminology changed a couple things and has been very influential in the case of setting the punishment and determining the crime and how to understand reasoning to why people commit crime. The classical school is credited with eliminating torture and moving the criminal justice system into a new era. The classical school of criminology include various aspects. One of those aspects include rational choice. Which means a person has the right to use free will. The individual makes the choice and he later has to deal with the consequences.
