“Can being in prison actually change you for the better” Shawshank Redemption is a classic film of a man named “Andy Dufresne” who gets sentenced for 18 years in “Shawshank Penitentiary” for the double murder of his wife and her fellow lover. But this didn't happen, he was accused of committing this crime when he was an innocent man. More and more evidence stacked up against him, he pleaded to be let go, but as a result he had to suffer for most of his life. He goes through a lot in Shawshank Penitentiary, he meets new friends and gets to know different people and personalities. But there are very bad phazes and Andy’s life, he gets abused by a group called the “sisters” they rape and beat him up, this goes on for a while. This later stops when “Boggs” the main gang leader for the sisters gets put in a wheelchair after beating Andy up. …show more content…

But he eventually makes a plan to escape the prison, he hasn't changed much throughout his time at prison. He’s personality and how he acts doesn’t change from when he arrived and when he left, for other prisoners they change a lot because of the things they go through and experience. “Get busy livin’ or get busy dying” this is showing that he is determined to escape shawshank and to not change his personality for the worse.
