The first trend mentioned by the author is changing demographics. With the baby boomer generation exiting the workforce at large rates, the talent level and experience the new generation is bringing in is considerably lower. In examining changing demographics, it is important to look at education. Our education system is currently in a bit of a crisis with primary and secondary education. This comes at a terrible time with baby boomers leaving the workforce.
