CHAPTER 7: FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS 7.1. Chapter Introduction This chapter makes some conclusions from this study, which drawn from chapter 1 to chapter 6.This research aims to spread a knowledge on the circumstances of user satisfaction and adoption of a WPS using the TPB framework. The study move toward AP using CI approaches on measuring success in WP to bridge from US using IS theories as an establishing approaches. Since IS study is comprised from many discipline such as marketing, social psychology, economics, computer sciences, and etc., this research proposed operationalized, and empirically examine a comprehensive, frugal model that explains and predicts three dimension of user’s behavior toward adoption of a WPS and…show more content…
7.3.1 Implication for Web personalization Research Most Web personalization research particularly on measuring success is from algorithmic performance using computational intelligent. This research examined and validated the use of IS theories in measuring success in Web personalization from user’s satisfaction (US). 7.3.2 Implication for IS Research The measures for the success in Web personalization is defined by the set of handy beliefs that have been verified in this research. It was empirically exhibited drawn from various literatures such as algorithmic performance and user’s satisfaction. The former literature pertaining on computational intelligent, whereas the later belongs to Information Systems (IS) studies. From literatures in AP, it shows that many algorithms have been developed to cater the success of a WPS. However, user’s satisfaction from IS theory is also important in defining the success. It ranges from various aspects such as acceptance of technology that can be found through TAM, Web quality (WEBQUAL), IS-success model and verified with user’s behaviors for predicting the intentions of use and adopt Web personalization via TPB framework. These findings have implications for the extending of IS theories in user’s adoption of a WPS. While until to date Web personalization success research is
