Decent Essays

In my honors language arts class, we are reading the novella, The Call of The Wild.
To be honest, The Call of The Wild, was probably not my favorite book I have ever read, but it was still entertaining and exciting. It was about a dog, Buck, that was taken from is home to be sold as a sled dog, in Alaska, during the Klondike Gold Rush. The best part of chapter 5, was that it was easier for me to read and understand.

The sixth chapter was my favorite chapter out of all seven of them. Mainly because it was the most positive, like saving his owner three times. The best save he did at of all of them, was when he jumped into the the raped lake. To save his owner, John Thorten.

The seventh chapter, contains brudel actions, like John and his men being captured and killed by natives. Although that was sad, I was also very happy that Buck got to stay in the wild, where he belongs. But most of all, this was the last chapter of the book, The Call of The Wild.

The conflicts of the book are when Buck is taken from his home, Buck kills Spitz, John Thorton gets Buck, when Thorton is killed by the yeehat tribe, and when Buck joins the
