To exist is to live a life without purpose, although to live, it is one of the greatest adventures anyone could experience. It does not matter how big or small, every organism is put on the earth for a reason. In Sean Covey’s book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, he teaches teenagers how to have a part in the world. He includes real life stories and quotes to relate to his readers while delivering a message. His award winning book has sculpted teenage lives with over five million copies sold. Sean Covey’s seven habits have effected countless lives including mine. Three specific habits prompted me to adjust my life and I have discovered the habits in additional people. “Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt” (118) Shakespeare quoted in Measure for Measure. Sean Covey stated one of the most well-known author’s quotes in his novel, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, for habit three. The particular habit involves organizing your schedule to place the imperative and essential activities first. Since the age of eight, Watson has experienced gender-based assumptions that prepare her for a life of ridicule and degrading. She incorporates habit one in her life at the age of 14 when the press would start to sexualize her. Living a proactive life, her “expressions are seen as too strong, too aggressive, isolating, anti-men, and unattractive” (qtd. in Watson 1).
