Character Counts Reflection There are six character count in the world, there are two that specifically remind me of myself, caring and respect. Respect is, treat others with dignity and respect, follow the Golden Rule, use manners, and be considerate to others. Caring is, be kind, forgive others, and help people in need. As one of my characters counts respect means a lot to me, it hits a big impact on my life cause, that is how my parents taught us, me and my sister, to respect people. Respect for me has to be earned. To me when people walk up to me and treat me with respect, they earned my respect. I treat people with a lot of respect like my parents, my elders, my teachers, my coaches, everyone that has a big impact on my life earned
The book Hit Count wrote by Chris Lynch is set in a town but mostly at a football field, school, Arlo’s house, and Sandy’s house. There are multiple moods that include parts being a bright time for people. Another mood would be that Arlo makes it pretty motivational to some people. Finally, people could say that Arlo’s life get’s dark after he’s done with football.
How does this family’s behaviors fall in the Hurting to Healing Behaviors chart in the text?
RESPECT mean that we need to be nice to each other and help each other when people need it. Me and my sisters try to be nice to each other but when we don’t we call each other names but I notice that when we need thing we need things we apologize. We try to respect each other but sometimes we just don’t care.
Respect is holding something or someone in high regard. Respect has an impact on all aspects of my life, both personally and professionally. As a personal value, respect is twofold; I must respect everyone around me as well as respecting myself. I will demonstrate respect for others by treating everyone equally and without judgement. I will listen and be considerate of the opinions and values of others, regardless of conflicting opinions. I will respect myself by dressing modestly and not objectifying myself as a woman. I will not engage in any unethical behaviour that may compromise my personal morals and values.
It is important to allow someone to know that you respect them. It will ease the conversation and create trust. Behavior and attitude will allow the person demanding respect to feel that respect. When we respect each other, there are fewer conflicts. People get along easier and avoid the unnecessary drama associated with a lack of respect.
Should the United States use Nuclear power? Over the years whether nuclear power should be allowed or not has been a big issue. Nuclear power should not be allowed in the United States because it can cause harm to the environment, it can lead to the creation of nuclear weapons, and nuclear power costs a lot of money.
Three centuries after an astonishing catastrophe that morphed the world into its current state, Tally Youngblood is your average fifteen year old. Like any teenage girl living in Uglyville, all she has ever desired was the all-consuming surgery which provides a gateway to a life of supposed eternal bliss. So, undoubtedly it comes as a surprise when her new best friend, Shay introduces a foreign concept to her: perhaps the surgery isn’t the sole purpose of life. Tally is a multidimensional, witty, an ‘afraid yet brave’ kind of protagonist. She represents the underdog, exposed to an inevitable fate as a result of a choice that no one at the age of sixteen should ever have to make. Her rebellious nature makes her a likeable character, to a level,
In daily life showing respect is easy. For example, holding the door for someone and not letting it slam in their face, giving up your seat on the bus to the elderly or someone else who needs it, or by simply ignoring an opinion that may differ from ours instead of berating the original poster on why they are wrong. With a little bit of respect for one another we can all make the world a better place for everyone that lives on Earth.
To me, respect means to treat everybody with care and recognition. Being respectful is about accepting a person’s styles, methods, and thinking as well as showing him or her courtesy and politeness. Treat people the way you want to be treated by showing him or her the same respect you want for yourself. This action could be carried out in a day-to-day classroom by allowing someone to include their own ideas and contribute to things such as group projects or just being kind in conversation and other types of communication. If someone were to walk into the room and observe this community agreement, he or she would see people sharing techniques and suggestions and nicely commenting on each other’s opinions. He or she would see students including
Respect shows the inner-self’s esteem of excellence to a person. Respect gives personality out to an adult or another person. Respect
Justin Ysunza Mrs. Hawkins English 101 2/21/2016 Although film-watchers might assume Night of the Living Dead is merely a tasteless, blood and gore horror film filled with zombies, its intent is much deeper than inciting fear. This film’s symbolism and its characters are placed in the context of the Vietnam War and 1960s American society dealing with racism and violence during The Civil Rights Movement. The symbols in Night of the Living Dead remind viewers of the Vietnam War and the film uses these symbols to condemn that conflict. Night of the Living Dead was filmed in black and white, which bear a resemblance to the Vietnam War footage that most Americans would watch on the news as they settled in for the evening.
The character count program here at E.O Green has made an impact on my life. All the pillars showed me different perspectives or life. The most important ones to me were respect and fairness. Respect taught me to deal peacefully with anger, insults, and disagreements. Also, fairness has taught me to be open-minded and listen to others opinions before making a decision. Both character counts have thought me different things but most importantly they thought me not to blame others carelessly and be considerate of other feelings.
Everyone wants to be respected. It’s in our nature, but in order to obtain respect, first of all one has to respect oneself. Second, one has to show respect to others in order to gain respect from them. If one doesn’t show respect to someone, that person may often feel blown off and lose respect for you. Respect in my eyes is like a math equation loyalty plus duty equals respect. respect is gained in conducting ones self in a way that others can stand
Most people go through life and always hear about the word respect, but they don’t know what it means. Respect is the esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person. There are things in life you need to hold in respect. Respect for yourself, respect for others, and respect for property. Respect is taught to people everywhere and it is even taught to them in their religions. Respect is the very aspect that keeps everything in your life.
Respect is an important value to be taught when growing up. Through the years I have learned that in order to learn anything you must have respect for others. I have learned many valuable lessons from listening to my grandmother. She has told me many of her experiences, which has made me a better person. Having respect for other people has allowed me to be more open-minded and see qualities in people that most would not. I have always listened to what my friends and family has to say. That doesn’t always mean that I agree with them, but it is their opinion, so I respect it. In return I receive respect from them. As people begin to respect me more their trust in me also grows.
